This is the "South Beach" Caravan Park, the other one in Port Fairy. It's a little more exposed, being really just a huge paddock before the dunes that rise in a high cliff above the beach. Sometimes we've had to come here if the East Beach was booked out.

It has nice flat land for the tent sites but not a lot of shade and the wind can be a little strong at times. Toilet blocks and facilities are more than adequate - camp kitchens and barbeques, playground etc. There are tennis courts next door too. Pets are welcome.

Not open all year - only from start December to end of April to cope with the summer demand. Watch out if you go Folk Festival Weekend. It can be crazy.

Location is great, close to town and just a short walk to South Beach and Griffiths Island.

Powered and unpowered sites are not much difference in price - around $35 and you can have six people per site.

It's a nice place to stay.
