The worst treatment from dermatoligist Dr.eleni yiasemides she told me that if she gave me botox that I would look like I had a stroke that I won't be happy if she did the procedure then she gave me some useless written information that I could have googled myself and charged me $300 and when I payed the secretary the full amount in cash she gave me a letter of statement of claim and benefit payment and it read: this form cannot be used to make a claim for Medicare this claim has already been submitted to Medicare But I don't know how that could be possible when she didn't have my bank details. They are beyond being corrupt the are blood sucking vampires. I was so disappointed and upset with their unprofessional behaviour one could only hope that KARMA would come their way and that they get a taste of their own medicine.
P.S. Class cannot be bought or taught

I feel so much better after seeing Dr Chee. The staff here are wonderful. Sometimes the phone lines get busy but dr will call you back if you leave a message.

Never seen a poorly lit room at Southderm.

I saw Dr Shien-Ning Chee at Southderm some months ago based on a general referral to a dermatologist in the shire.
I presented to Dr Chee with several skin issues ( unique and spontaneous acne rosacea on the face, serious and chronic itch on arms, raised bumps, occasional lesions from scratching too much, raised toenails, flaking itchy skin within both ears and horizontal ridges, bumps and black spots on toenails. my history was Ross River Virus.
This Dr led me into a relatively low light room and did not even examine me with a light. She spent only a few minutes listening to me and treated me like I was imagining it. She then charged me nearly $300 to tell me to use QV cream and avoid soap products. She told me to wear nail polish if I was concerned about the appearance of my nails!
I have since visited a second dermatologist with a diagnosis of neuropathic and brachioradial pruritus, psoriasis and Papulopustular rosacea.
Dr Chee did not treat me with any respect and was quite patronizing. Gave me no real examination and charged me well over the scheduled fee to tell me to just wear nail polish and use QV cream!
My condition and issues are now successfully being managed by my 2nd Dermatologist with progressively positive results.
I am appalled by Dr Chee and cried most of the way home from this particular visit.

Approximate cost: $300

My first experience here was not a good one with one of the skin specialists (a glorified beautician/beautician with a degree) who pretty much told me to just deal with my skin problems as I was not as young as I once was. I was handed a wad of prescriptions and sent on my way after only 5 mins and charged nearly $150. I only saw this doctor as I was in desperate pain and could not see the doctor who I was referred to for a number of weeks. I don't mind paying the fee but not for 5 mins and good-for-nothing advice. Upon my return, and insisting that I don't see THAT doctor again I had a much better experience with the doctor I was originally referred to who spent much more time getting my history and asking more questions, observing and inspecting the affected area, then prescribing a more appropriate treatment. For this I was grateful as it led to good results. I have been back since and will return in the future but will be fussy about who I see.

Approximate cost: $90-150
