Sam and the staff are amazing the kindest most caring vet i have ever had dealings with, and that is quite a few i can assure you. If you are a pet owner no matter how far you are from St Peters and if you care for your pet and they are apart of your family do your self a favour and become apart of the Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic family. Believe me you wont go anywhere else after seeing Sam. Sam saved our baby Reba and without his knowledge dedication and loving support we would not have her with us today. Rosie is a 14 year old Shih Tzu Poodle cross in need of the TLC that goes with being a senior four leg citizen. Rosie has issues with her vision and dental health. She has also had arthritis in her hips. Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic meets those needs with the application of a patient focused approach tempered with an understanding of the pet owners situation. I had experience with Dr Kovac's approach to veterinary practice when I met him while he was working as a vet at another veterinary practice. While the vets I observed in many years of pet ownership have exhibited care for their patients, Dr Kovac seems to go that extra distance in his approach to treating animal health and communicating diagnosis to the pet owner. The ethos of the business with a focus on best practice gives me confidence in the quality of the service provided.

Best vet I have ever met. Sam really cares and I have never encountered after care like it. I can not speak highly enough of Southern Cross veterinary clinic. Highly recommended.

What can I say about Dr Sam that has not already been said. He is so dedicated to his patients and truly loves his work. I have never come across such dedication in a Vet before but I have come across some vets who think of the dollars and cents first and the treatment last but Dr Sam is all for the well being of the patient fist and foremost. Every time Rolo has been there he has enjoyed his visits and even opens the front door to get in first and always checks the place out to see what has changed. It's more like going to visit a friend than see the Vet that I like and most importantly he answers all of your questions and spends time explaining the pros and cons of the treatment. All of his equipment is new and first class. He and his staff are a rare breed indeed and I will be more than happy to bring Rolo or any other dog back to see Dr Sam at Southern Cross Vet Clinic.

We came home to our 3 month old puppy with an injured leg one evening recently. We were able to see Dr Kovac at Southern Cross Vet Clinic immediately and he was able to assess the damage that night by taking a radiograph at the Clinic. Dr Kovac identified a fracture in her tibia and instability of the hock (ankle). Dr Kovac made a special effort to ensure that our puppy was able to be seen by the Sydney Vet Hospital so that we could assess more closely through a CT Scan the damage that appeared to have occured to her hock. Following a number of weeks in a bandage and splint, and a numerous further visits to the Clinic to monitor our puppy's healing process, our puppy is now well on her way to recovering.

Dr Kovac is particularly unique in his attention to his clients. He has made the effort to phone us regularly to check up on the wellbeing of our puppy. He has also made himself available to provide us with advice both during and outside business hours. We consider that the service he provided is above and beyond what would otherwise be expected of a vet.

The fees at Southern Cross Vet Clinic appear similar to those of other veterinary clinics we have attended. The Clinic offers a free consultation for your first visit (i.e. $60 reduction).

Southern Cross Vet Clinic seems to have the latest and greatest technology and equipment. The facilities are clean and welcoming. The vet nurses are friendly and quite clearly care about the wellbeing of the animals.

We appreciate the level of care and attention given to our puppy, and would recommend Southern Cross Vet Clinic and Dr Kovac to those living in the inner city area.

Words cannot describe how fantastic Dr Sam and Ra have been with my dog Ben...the care and compassion has been considerable with follow up calls and my visits to the clinic after he collapsed and couldn't walk a few weeks ago..I just turned up in a panic and was immediately put at ease...now with a new medicine regime Ben is now back walking and happy ..on each visit Ben goes looking for Dr Sam on arrival and even after he is given his injections he will still ask Dr Sam for a pat..so obviously he knows that he is being cared for and Dr Sam is making him better...I highly recommend the services of Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic , Dr Sam and Ra ..if you want a vet and staff that really care then this this is definitely the place to go.

Dr Sam and his staff continue to amaze me with their heartfelt, untiring treatment and service to me as a customer/pet owner and to my Axl Rose. I followed Dr Sam from a previous service and have never ever regretted making the change. For me, it is all about having faith in someone who cares as much for my pet, as I do. It is not about $ and cents with Dr Sam, but about what is the best treatment for your pet. Axl Rose would not be here if it was not for Dr Sam's advice and treatment.
