Our children are thriving under the care of the educators at Southport Children's Educational Centre. They are happy and excited to go each day and when I pick them up after work I see smiling faces again. The educators utilise there large outdoor play areas and constantly create new settings using their resources. Today I saw a large play kitchen converted to a boat with sand for pirate day. Not only were there little pirates everywhere but all of the educators had dressed up too. Need I say more? My 3yr old loves her Japanese lessons and swimming lessons and my 15 month old has become a confident babbling toddler. We chose this centre above others because of the fun creative rooms, the large outdoor play spaces and the warm and welcoming staff. All of the children seem happy and healthy, the menu is nutritious and varied and to be honest leaves me a little envious. This is a centre full of people providing the exact kind of care and loving environment that we were seeking for our family.

Pros: Short wait list to enrol or move classes. Provide food and nappies. Great programs. Great communication eg, flyers, signs, verbal handover Cons: Very limited play equipment outside comprises of a few small plastic playsets and sandpits - no built in commercial equipment a like other centres. Many staff are rough handling children. Not enough food to go around, little portion each compare to what my kids could eat at home. Toilet training issues Without these cons it would have been rated as five stars. My rating is based on my experience but at least three out of these four issues were raised by other families too, while get together.

My two daughters attend this centre. Absolutely AMAZING! Its such a great comfort knowing my girls are in such great care while I'm at work. Only have good things to say about this centre, my children and I love the staff, always so helpful and my children are learning so much from attending that childcare centre. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I was so sad to have take my child out of this centre due to relocating. All the staff are wonderful, friendly, and really make an effort to know you and you children. My daughter was there from 4 months to 22 months and through each stage the centre was extremely accommodating, be it sleeping, toilet training, and eating, they worked with whatever was best for my child. Lots of communication between centre and parents with, notes home, pamphlets, and direct communication. I give this centre 10 out of 10. Since leaving this centre I sent my child to another 2 before settling in to the one we are at now as there were not up to the standard of care I was used to receiving from The Southport Children's Education Centre!

The outside play equipment is old and worn. Children were coloring with markers that had hardly any ink and not enough paper to share around. Morning tea was potato chips and chocolate biscuits. Rough handling of children and very rushed toilet time. Staffs had an unpleasant grumpy tone when speaking to the children. Interior of the centre appears to be tidy and the director was very nice.
