My partner and I came into spec savers Waurn Ponds on Tuesday 2nd January 2018 and I just wanted to write a review for the excellent customer service we received from a girl I think her name was elsie. We come in quite often for my partners glasses but we have never left feeling as if we were so looked after as we did with Elsie. It wasn’t just her friendly, and can do attitude, but also her knowledge that was impressive. We having trouble finding glasses in our price range and there weren’t many, and Elsie came over. She really knows how to choose a set of glasses that suits your face. She helped us narrow down which ones to go for and could pick out a pair off the shelf just by looking at what feature doesn’t suit. We ended up mucking her around a bit when it came to our health fund and payment but she was so helpful and called the health fund for us to sort it out. Elsie is an asset to your store and we hope this information gets back to her so she can know and be proud.

I recently needed to get my eyes checked and purchase new glasses so decided to try specsavers. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment to look through the displays of glasses available however found that I was able to go straight through to the optometrist. Several checks were made along with the typical eyesight and lens adjustment and it all went fairly smoothly; I even saw a photo of the inside of my eye (scary stuff!).

I did end up needing new glasses and went back out to the shop front to find a pair (actually two thanks to my health insurance deal with specsavers). There I was confronted by a very pushy salesperson who directed my choice and left me feeling very rushed and unsure as to whether it was really the frames I wanted. I ended up with two frames that were the same apart from a slight colour change and was able to collect them about 10 days later. What was interesting in collecting is that despite being told that the frames were the same one pair feels lighter and never feels as good when wearing the glasses. They are still a great option but I'd have prefered to have taken time to make my choice and without being pushed
