Saturday night after show dinner with my wife. Thoroughly enjoyable. Portions, service and food all excellent. Was not game enough on our first visit to try the 3 chilli meals. Started slowly with the 1 chilli lamb on a stick. Very enjoyable with just a hint of the hot stuff. Moved up to the whole barramundi, rated as 2 chillis. Glad we stopped there, beautifully fresh with great flavours and a spicy wallop which creeps up on you.

Chilli lovers should try this place - definitely one of the better Sichuan restaurants around. The cooking is authentically oily and spicy with lots of earthy and mouth numbing flavours and gamey, fatty cuts of meat. Stately decor is over the top in traditional Chinese form, giving the place a bit of atmosphere and class. Not everything on the menu is great, but the sesame noodles, lamb ribs and smoked pork belly are great, and the cold eggplant dish is just INCREDIBLE. The best eggplant I have ever eaten. Very filling food making for great value.

Approximate cost: $24
