With its casual but stylish decor, Spoonful likes to give the impression that you are eating at a friend's place-if your friend were an excellent cook and very well heeled. The food is always fresh, contemporary and well presented, with the little touches of extra flavor that raise it well above the ordinary. Prices are very fair given the quality. The service is efficient but not effusive. There is a small cafe/provisions store next door called Teaspoon which is part of the same business, where you can get delicious looking upmarket sandwiches and pastries/cakes.

I have been here on a few occasions now, and I have enjoyed the food very much.
It's quite pleasantly furnished and quite cosy on a cold morning. The breakfast menu is slightly different to other places, and generally quite tasty.

Approximate cost: $20

I have only been there for breakfasts - they offer different menu every time, kind of brunch style :) so I get to try quite a few interesting dishes, very fresh and yum! Environment is great too decorated with vintage Chinese red lanterns...

Approximate cost: $15
