Dont go with sportsbet!!! They go into your account and take out what ever they want without you knowing, their money back promos are wrong. They cancel your withdrawals, have fine print everywhere to catch you out and their service is horrible!!!

I use the mobile app for sportsbet and it is very good and very easy to understand and there is always a lot of markets per game to get a better chance of winning more money, your winnings or losses from results is updated straight away from when your game/race etc is completed.. and they give good odds

First up, I want to point out that I have made this review anonymous for a good reason.
I have been a customer of Sportsbet for many years, even back in the days when they were operating offshore. Over all those years, I had recommended them to many friends and acquaintances at every opportunity, as I believed they were innovative and offered better value.
In all the years I have bet with them, I probably would have only won 3 or more weeks in a row a handful of times, with lots of losses in between, but recently I had a run of good luck, having 11 winning weeks out of 12.
I am not a big bettor, a 3 figure bet is a big bet for me. Sportsbet are happy to state that they have taken bets of so many thousand dollars on this or that horse, or the A versus B game, so I consider myself to be one of their fairly insignificant customers.
Imagine my surprise when, a couple of weeks after my previously mentioned winning run, I tried to place a bet via the Sportsbet website, but got an error message that the bet type was not available for my account. I tried several other bets, but kept getting the same message.
Without giving me any reason or notice, someone at Sportsbet decided that they would no longer take my bets. It seems that they are happy to take your money when you lose, but don't like paying out when you win. Ironically, it was a couple of weeks after my winning run ended that this happened, so they had already got back some of what I'd won. Over all the time I'd been betting with Sportsbet, I'm sure they would have been well in front. I really wouldn't want to know how much I was behind, like most people who bet or take lotto tickets, unless you crack it for a big win, you aren't going to be in front.
I really don't care that I can't bet with them, there are better options available, so they probably did me a favour. It's in their terms and conditions that they have the right to refuse any bet without explanation, however refusing to bet with me without even a letter, email, or phone call to explain is a very poor reflection of their attitude.
These guys are poor excuses for bookmakers. If you're a loser, they will take your money, and entice you to bet more, if you get lucky and win, don't expect to last very long with them.

Very easy to sign in and deposit cash to bet. Getting cash back from your winnings however - a whole other story.

So many Government warnings about giving out your personal details online - you just don't do it. On this site you have to give your full name, date of birth, home address to register, then give your personal financial details. Only an idiot would give all that out to one website - an particularly to one that is an unknown quantity. Trust works both ways.

After they've happily and easily taken your money and allowed you to place a bet - they THEN check if you are who you say you are and UNTIL they verify you - they don't pay out your winnings - nor do they refund your original money you paid them in good faith.

Take some advice - walk into a TAB, club or pub. No ID required AND you can collect your winnings.

I only put down 20.00 to try it out on the Melbourne Cup and won back $34.00. Which I will now never see unless I tell them everything about me bar the colour of my knickers. One wonders how much free profit they've made out of suckers like me.

Sorry, but this site stinks.

Approximate cost: $My winnings.

To be fair, all Australian regulated online bookmakers are legally required by the government to collect ID details before they can pay out any money.
They have the same strict requirements to protect the information as government agencies and employees do, and extremely severe penalties apply if those requirements are not adhered to.
I recommend you send them the info so you can get your money back, your info is as safe with them as it is with any other agency
