Service there is terrible.
Waiters were extremely rude. Tried to get their attention more then once, but it was clear that they were more interested in chatting amongst themselves.
One of the waitresses was boasting about how she wasn't 18 but they always have after work drinks there etc. which I found completely irresponsible, not to mention silly that you would even boast about it!
Food was average, absolutely nothing special. Same with the prices.
Wouldnt eat there again.

I went with a group of friends for an afternoon snack. Maybe we went on an off day.
The waiter was new, so we made allowances for that. He was very friendly which was nice.
We placed our order for drinks, then ten minutes later for food. Our bruschetta came before our drinks had even been delivered! we waited about 15 minutes for our drinks- including a glass of wine and some water. Not sure what took so long as they had several staff and only a couple of tables. Our coffees arrived well after the cakes, despite being ordered long before. The hot chocolates were not so hot, and the cakes were obviously not fresh. The bruschetta was actually pretty tasty.
I went to the counter to ask for the bill, and was told the waitress would bring it over, which she did after about ten minutes.
The rest of the menu looks nice, but I would be very hesitant in returning.

We have been going to Stallions for a couple of years and the food is consistently good. The prices are reasonable too. Not an upper class restaurant but great for a quick meal. The staff are pleasant and the meals arrive quickly. I recommend the pasta and pizza and any of their cakes!

i have eaten at stallions several times. it can be very hit & miss. pretty much everytime i have been they have forgotten to bring out something i have ordered and i have needed to get the bill changed. the chicken salad is very nice as are the pizzas. there is a play area for kids but would more suit age 8 to 12 not little kids.

I ordered the cannelloni and it was absolutely terrible. The filling was bland and the sauce didn't taste very nice. I ordered some vegetables as a side and there were only beans and sweet potato in it, no other vegetables. The cake I ordered for dessert was enough to feed a family of four and was well overpriced.

That has to be the worst lunch Ive ever had. We ordered the Gourmet Pizzas "Great Ocean road"and "Salmon Pizza".
While we were waiting the not caring about their job staff, were mucking around, one staff member had a straw in his hand that he poked his co worker in the ear with, then put the straw into someones drink and served it.The pizzas were nothing like what was described on the menu, Dough was stale tasting and hard to chew, very cardboady, a tiny amount of salmon & loads of capers. No 'fresh basil, no onion". The great ocean rd pizza had the smallest amount of mussels maybe 3 tiny calamari pieces on entire pizza."No fresh basil,no crab meat". NEVER AGAIN !!!

Went with my mother for her birthday, she absolutely loved her meal, yet the risotto I got seemed more like rice mixed with tomato paste and steamed vegetables.
We asked for the chocolate mousse from the menu for desert, and the waiter returned with a chocolate mousse cake, though this is not what we asked for. He then said they hadn't had chocolate mousse for ages.... we left fairly unhappy in the end. Decent pricing, more of a family dining place then mother daughter!

Prices are good, servings large but quality of meal was only O.K. Large dinning room, would be good for parties. This is a baby/child friendly environment.

Great food...bad service.

We've eaten here regularly for the past 6 months & lately the service has left a lot to be desired.

There always seems to be plenty of staff around, but it's near impossible to get anyone's attention. They seem to seat you & walk away before you get to order a drink, then they forget you're even there!

As I said though, the food has always been good. Fresh & tasty - the pizza's are great!

I think from now on it will be take-away for us. The girl on the register is always lovely :-)

I recently went to Stallions order to pick up 2 of their $5 medium pizzas, not only were the pizzas great, the staff member offered to help me carry them to my car (as I had my young baby with me in the bjorn). Very impressed with the service!

Have only been once but will certainly be going back. There was a discount voucher on the back of a Coles docket, so I thought i would try it and I was very pleasantly surprised. I had the Chicken Parma, and in the menu it says "Hope you are hungry" it is huge, the biggest parma, thick as well, I have ever had. Even without the voucher it would have been good value.

This is a great place to go. You never have to book and the kids love the food too. A little on the pricier side for a family restaurant, but they now have shop-a-docket vouchers, so when you eat in, you get a main for free.

The food is pretty good, although it's a bit inconsistent. Some dishes are nice and others are not. The service is generally good, sometimes a bit excessive, especially if it's quiet, which it often is when we're there. Might be better for take away than eat in. We do like going there though.

Long wait for large plates of average food and generally poor service. Uncomfortable atmosphere, displayed through staff interaction and customer complaints. Opinionated, arrogant manager who sits in the middle of the restaurant while you eat. Good pizzas, though.

This restaurant used to be La Porchetta. Obviously the owner believed that they could out do an institution in family dining. Terrible quality food. Horrendous wait. Unpleasant staff. I'll go to La Porchetta instead.
