Our regular electrician is still on Holidays so in an emergency we called out this company to fix my works PowerPoint behind the fridge charged us over $1000 to replace a fuse and a power point. The technician then expected me to pay the cost on the centres credit card then and there. Got angry at me when I said we don't have that amount of money. Didn't explain the costs correctly. He told me that it would cost $300 for diagnosis which seemed reasonable then updated me that it would be $600 total. I clarified and he said yes $600 total so I approved the repairs. Come time for the bill I'm presented with the bill of $1023 which I asked him to send the invoice and I would pay it. He said no you have to pay it now. I explained that we need two factor authorisation for anything that big. He refused to leave until I paid and showed him the internet banking reciept. Will not be using this unprofessional price gauging company again

Yes they were quick to arrive and sort the problem with safety switches. The price $954, for four switches @ $96 each, and one hour of work, so $500 per hour. Nice enough serviceman but pretty sad way of treating customers.

very poor service and definitely a dishonest business at all. The technician come to my house to investigate on the switchboard due to power outage. He tried to charge me for changing 6 switches that’s functional perfectly (another electrician came after him and checked everything is working prefect without any problem), and he pushed me to pay $980 for replacing those switches. When I disagreed on the replacement, he bring out an iPad finalizing the job and tried to trick me without delete the bill of $980 for the switch replacement and keep push me for card authorization for the payment.

After the case, I report the issue to the head office and the guy just told me the case is closed due to nothing wrong with my switchboard. Cannot help on it

It did not take him long to find out the problem and he fixed it right away. The service is very reasonably priced, and they did what they said they would, when they said they would. I had Dale from Star Plus Electrical to repair electrical issues in my house. He found the problem in no time and explained to me what the actual problem was. I highly recommend Star Plus to anyone looking for an electrician.

Rang Star Plus to ascertain their charges. Was advised they did not charged a call out fee, they only charge $80 per half hour. They charged $110 for the first half hour. When I queried it they had all sorts of reasons why they changed the price after attending the job. As per the other review for this company the technician who attended out property also had no idea what the issue was. I have since had another company out and they identified the issue with 5 minutes and problem now fixed. And dealing with [redacted due to personal identifier] has been a very unpleasant experience. Definitely very unprofessional company.

The technician had no idea what he was doing.We paid $652 for parts that did not need replacing.The problem was not solved and we had to get another electrician to attend our business who within 2 minutes of being here identified the source of the problem as our hot water service which he isolated - All up it took less than 10 minutes. Star Plus Electrical did not give us a Certificate of Compliance.They do not return your calls They do not have an accounts payable section. NOT RECOMMENDED
