I have to agree with some of the unsatisfactory reviews of this bakery regarding customer service. One of their customer service staff needs training on customer service! As some of the reviews said, it’s not about ‘masungit si Ate’ but it’s more about her not wanting to be there, she seems to be annoyed with us for being in the bakery. Ano ba iyan???

We love the pandesal, egg pie and spanish bread. I hope they could make pandesal more healthy like made of wheat or wholemeal as we can only buy it by cravings not usually. Also, people serving here should have more customer service attitude.

Their bread especially the Pandesal taste so good but the service is too slow. Every time we go there we dread to be served by the old woman who is so slow. The other are not so bad but they could do better.

Whenever hubby and I need a Filipino food fix, we go to Starlight Bakery. Hubby's favourite is the pork buns, mine is the spanish bread and my son's is the egg pie. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but overall good service. Quite a popular bakery for locals, both Filipinos and non-Filipinos.

This place has become a Filipino Community institution. I no longer live at home and am of Filipino descent but if I want that good old fashion home baking, I go to Starlight. Everything Filipino in bread can be found there and the service is good and wholesome. This place just isn't for the local Filipino-Australians but for everyone. Come check it out. It's worth the drive out to the greater west. To make it worth your while always get Pan De Sal and there Buko Pie (Coconut Pie), its awesome! Their Spanish bread is also good and the traditional Bininka is great. You'll end up spending about $50 every time just getting one of everything, its all cheap and you'll end up with more than you can actually handle, so sharing is caring! There are also 2 Filipino Restaurants nearby if you want the full savory and sweet experience of The Philippines.

They have the tastiest pandesal, spanish bread, pandecoco and siopao. :) yumyum. We always buy bread there every Saturday. Even if the breads get cold, just heat it in the toaster, they taste and feel like it is freshly cooked. :) The old lady smiled at me for the first time, i think it is a welcoming change. :)

Softest and most delicious fresh pan de sal in sydney! I love buying it fresh while its warm and eating it within the hour. I also absolutely love their egg pie and Brasso de mercedes! MMM!!!

Yeah so the service can be slow....and sometimes they take a long time counting your change, but the slight inconvenience is ten times outweighed by their awesome filipino bread and deserts!

My boyfriend is the son of the owner. Bread here are of quality and tastes delicious! always made fresh and is popular among the Filipino community. More often than not, this bakery tends to be busy and always sells constantly.
