Allow yourself to be enveloped by a wondrous sense of nurturing-you deserve to treat yourself to it.
Imagine that warm fuzzy feeling of being a beautifully nurtured child whose caring parents have anticipated your every need and provided it at the ready for you. Such is the feeling that envelopes you as you survey the provisions made available by Kay and David when you visit ‘Stay A While’. Then, there is the perfect balance of just the right amount of enjoyable interaction, and a sense of privacy afforded to guests. If you have never felt that degree of nurturing, you deserve to treat yourself to it.
To arrive on an incredibly hot day and have David meet us outside to assist with carrying our copious amount of luggage inside to the pre-cooled lounge-room/dining-room/kitchenette, won us over before we even got inside, where we then discovered Kay had provided some extra provisions to enable us to prepare a light meal because of our time of arrival and the oppressive heat out-side,- such is the consideration shown to their guests.
I was delighted to find that like me, Kay recognizes that not everyone wants to swelter under a thick doona and because of this she has provided a light waffle weave blanket as well as the summer weight doona for this time of the year.
The accommodation is the back portion of Kay and David’s home and consists of a separate QS bedroom, a bathroom and a very large room that more than comfortably fits in a full-size dining table, a couch that folds out to a double bed, a book case laden with reading options, a full size fridge and a well-equipped kitchenette, and of course the TV. The little things that are important to me were all there- several small table that could be moved the desired location, delightful coasters to rest your drink on. Trays to carry your food out to the balcony.
Despite the best efforts of the neighbour’s tree to block the view from the large spacious balcony there is still ample view of both the Geelong Bay and the city of Melbourne in the distance- a view that turns into a fairyland of densely dotted city lights as dusk falls. A full size table and chairs makes dining outdoors an attractive option.

Approximate cost: $140
