During the recent Easter break we traveled to SA for a few days and whilst visiting Victor Harbor we embarked on the train ride from Victor Harbor to Goolwa. It was a pleasant trip and the carriage was quite spacious and seats were comfortable.

Lovely trip and something good to do as a tourist.

The conductors who checked our tickets were very friendly and willing to answer questions.

Ticket cost of $29 per adult was a little pricey in my opinion, but its something you do once!

Approximate cost: $29 per adult

When you have children with you on a trip to Victor Harbor the Cockle train which is run by steamranger is a most enjoyable trip on a vintage train. When the weather permits, a steam engine is used. It runs along a great deal of the coast line between the towns of Victor Harbor and Goolwa and return. Steamrange is run by volunteers who devote a lot of time and effort in the running of a number of trips using vintage carriages and engines. The Cockle train down south and some trips from Mount Barker. The trips run mainly in the school holidays and public holidays.
