Just a lovely family restaurant! Fantastic service, meals are not anything special but tasty and hearty, great spot for kids, and well priced.

I do not know why , my 90 year old mother could not have crumbed prawns, with salad and chips? On the 'seniors menu,' the only choice was prawns done in a garlic sauce. My 90 year mother does not like garlic!! I had to change what I was wanting to order ' beef strips in pastry with vegetables,' to the fisherman's basket - to allow my 90 year old mother to have two prawns fro my dinner. I contacted the venue manager - Retracted- to be told that the Steeples skilled chefs work on a 'production line.' Therefore, they cannot be taken away from this 'production line,' to do a 90 year old seniors request for - crumbed prawns, with salad and chips. How sad, we are now in the 21st century and 'skilled staff,' cannot be moved from the production line to do a seniors crumbed prawns, with salad and chips lunch??

Not sure what this place was like before the renovation but having visited tonight with the family I was really impressed by the upmarket decor. The kids room was perfect for the kids and the food and staff were ok (some dishes were great some mediocre). We normally go to the Dava because they have a kids play room but after tonight the Dava is dead to us! This place is much better.

Telephoned earlier date and asked for specific table due to mobility of one guest, advised this was done. On day of booking arrived to be told no such booking existed for set table. Explained situation and the table in question had nobody else there at the time, told still couldn't have that table. Wait staff attitude was very rude, couldn't care less, and was busy sorting through papers not making eye contact, even talking to other wait staff whilst I was trying to sort this out, she then went on to say booking was done by gaming staff so they can't allocate tables. In the end we left and went elsewhere due to this persons disgusting attitude, no idea what the meaning of customer service is.

Approximate cost: $28

Catered for a birthday dinner very well. Service was good but not amazing, while the cost was slightly higher than usual for this kind of restaurant. Food was very good.

Approximate cost: $25
