We were lucky enough to be passing through Strathalbyn last Sunday, which just happened to be the day of the Strathalbyn Market.
It is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, between 8am and 2pm.
There were about 20 or 25 different stalls, neatly set-up on the lawns near the information centre. They included local produce, jewellery, plants, books, bric-a-brac, woodwork items, furniture, soaps, baked goods, pastries, coffee, a barbeque for lunch and others.
Most products on offer seemed to be good quality, not just trash & treasure-type stalls as some have.
We enjoyed browsing and sampling and picked up a couple of bargains of second-hand books, some nice fruit-cake for afternoon tea (not such a bargain, but very tasty and moorish; can't beat good old-fashioned country cooking!) and some healthy-looking potted colour plants.
