I've been pole dancing for about 5 years now, and taking lessons at Studio Verve for the last 18 months. I can honestly say that pole dancing has changed my life - I'm fitter than I've ever been, have so much more upper body strength and achieved things I'd never thought possible. Studio Verve is a really great place to learn pole dancing too, with a strong emphasis on fitness to ensure you're in the best possible shape to make the most out of your classes. A typical lesson usually consists of warm up and stretching, some strengthening work and of course learning some tricks on the pole. There's a great atmosphere - the instructors are really friendly and eager to help you reach your goals, there's a real sense of comraderie with the other students and attire is casual - just shorts and a singlet. I would highly recommend Studio a Verve to anyone who wants to try pole dancing, and anyone who generally just wants to get fit and have fun at the same time

I've been coming to Studio Verve for the past two years and I am so much fitter and toned! It is also fun and it isn't boring like running on a treadmill or using an exercise bike. I've made lots of friends and I've made it part of my weekly routine to come twice because it is FUN!

I would recommend Studio Verve to anyone who is looking for a fun and highly effective addition to or alternative to their current exercise regime. I started Pole fitness about 18 months ago and am surprised and delighted by my progress. I have learnt skills that I could not have imagined I would ever be able to perform. The teaching method is extremely effective and consistent across all instructors. The skills are taught gradually and each student is given personal attention during the class. The emphasis is on strengthening and conditioning the body in order to learn and perform skills. The instructors take care to accommodate individual needs and are encouraging, supportive and patient. I have found the experience very empowering and I look forward to my class each week.

I highly recommend this studio. A friend persuaded me to try one of their 8 week workshops, and 2 years later, I'm still taking classes!

Since starting my first pole class I have become more toned than I've been in my life (... my abs & I have met for the first time ever) and I've improved my general fitness levels.

The instructors are fantastic - they are highly trained, very friendly and supportive and give loads of personal attention to students during classes - more than I've ever received at any gym that I've been with. Well worth a try - be sure to try Studio Verve's Taster Class if you're not quite sure if pole is for you.

I joined Verve two years ago with my sister as a fun distraction from life. Little did I know how quickly I would get hooked on Verve's PoleFit programme, where I have met some of the most fantastic and fun people I know and where, each week I am challenged with climbs, spins and body inversions. There is an addictive buzz to Studio Verve where men and women, novices and advanced polers support and encourage each other with all their achievements.

So much fun! I always leave pole class stretched, inspired, strengthened & encouraged. Really supportive teachers that love what they do. Best decision I've made in a long time. I would even go as far as saying life changing!

At the age of 55 and just before my 56th birthday, I was very unfit after injuring my ankle and not doing ANY exercise for almost two years. Looking for an alternative to the gym, I luckily stumbled across Studio Verve, so decided to try Pole Fitness and their Core Class......... I couldn't even do a few crunches in a row, and forget doing a dish shape or plank! Three years later and with a lot of encouragement from all of the instructors to go at my own pace, but with each of them always pushing me just that "Little Bit More", I am more fit than most people my age and even a lot of people younger than myself.

My original goal was to get fit so I can still lead an active life for as long as I can. Now I do activities I never imagined were possible and I intend to keep at it. This has easily become part of my life........I love a good Core Fit class!

Every Instructor at Verve has been my favourite, but especially Twee who knows how to get the most out of each student (meaning me). I like that it is a studio based on fitness with t-shirts and bare feet. And of course the students themselves who are all friendly and encouraging to each other with a fantastic camaraderie within the studio.

I give a big "Thank You" to everyone at Studio Verve for helping me achieve my original goal and beyond, I'm sure we will continue our relationship for some time to come.

I first came to Studio Verve curious as to whether i'd be interested. As a girl who hates gyms and conventional exercise I thought this would be something I could do.
After one taster class I was hooked and booked into the next course and the next course.
The instructors are all amazingly talented, and the studio is beautiful, with wall to ceiling mirrors so you can see yourself on the pole and work on improving your skills. There are amazing enhancement courses if you want to work on your flexibility, core or abs, and lyrical courses if routines are more your thing. There are two studios, and classes running every night, so there is always a time you can fit in a class.
If you're like me and love a good dress up party there are optional theme weeks every term where you get the chance to dress up for a class!
My only complaint is that Studio Verve isn't next door to my house, but not even the hour drive to class could deter me from coming to Studio Verve! Seriously, they are the best!

About a year and a half ago I decided to try pole dancing. After a quick google search I gave Studio Verve a call. They were so friendly and helped answer every one of my questions. Since then, I can only say my experience has been nothing but excellent.
The teachers are all incredibly professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I think that one of the greatest testaments to this is their willingness and ability to cater to different student's physical needs. I injured my shoulder as a teenager that initially impaired me a little bit. With a bit of encouragement, support and instruction as to stretches and strength work to do, my shoulder is no longer an issue! It's this personal attention that gyms just don't offer.

The studio offers multiple "enhancement" courses, focussing on stretching, cardio, and strength building. The atmosphere is laid-back, but supportive.
Pole is an excellent workout that you should definitely try if you're thinking about it...but you should also definitely try it out here.

I signed up last year when looking for a fun way to keep fit and definitely was not disappointed! Almost a year in and I feel fitter and more confident and I am really keen to keep progressing. The instructors are fun yet professional and clearly very knowledgeable about getting fit, staying safe and improving your skills. I love how they incorporate their dance and gymnastic backgrounds to make pole dancing a fantastic all-over body exercise. Would not hesitate to recommend to women & men of all ages, shapes and sizes!
