Tried the bak kut teh here, was pretty authentic. Definitely quite affordable dishes and nice portions, will be back.

To be perfectly clear, this is not upper class dining. This is fast food, modern and malaysian in its style.
That means malaysian renditions of the classic fast food items (ie. fish burger with malaysian flavours) and modernized versions of traditional malaysian hawker food.
Sugarbun will probably be a welcome addition for any international students with malaysian roots, but it is also an interesting eatery for locals. It is quite different from the usual malaysian cafe and franchises.
