If you are a plus size lady like myself these ladies know their stuff. Actually getting to try dresses in size 24 was an amazing thing as other stores I went to did not cater for bigger girls and was very embarrassing but not here. I found the most perfect dress I absolutely love it. My experience was 10 out of 10 from the minute I walked in. Fun, helpful and knowledgeable.

I don’t know where to start. But here it goes.
Back in July I purchased my wedding dress from Sunset bridal. I fell in love with this dress as when I tried it on in the shop it was perfect for me, I had my mum and sister in tears. It was such a happy time for all of us. The display dress I tried on was suppose to be made the same as the dress that I received as the measurements where all correct. 10-12 weeks later my dress was ready (such an exciting time for a bride). I was not offered to try the dress on in the shop I was just handed it and had to leave.
As we were in the middle of a pandemic it wasn’t my first priority to try the dress on when I bought it home. I had many other priorities with organising my wedding and the dress was suppose to be the same as the one I tried on.
A couple weeks later I tried my dress on.
It wouldn’t zip up at all. The dress was tight, it sat right under my arm pits, there were threads, the straps were loose, the dress was covered in black sequins and worst of all the bodice area wasn’t even stitched to the padding it was literally sticking out and was made so poorly.
In my head I thought I must’ve put on a few kgs from covid, which in 14 weeks I shouldn’t drastically have change in size but as I was not working I thought maybe I had.
I thought before calling or emailing the store I would try loose weight. After loosing more than enough weight I was excited to try my dress on thinking it would fit. Once again it wasn’t even close to zipping up. I was beside myself at this point. I did not think anytime soon I would loose enough weight to fit the dress.
I finally built the courage to emailed Debbie the owner. I explained the situation and she was blunt and told me that what I was explaining to her was very strange. She didn’t even suggest for me to bring the dress in to have a look at it. I had to email to ask to bring it in.
We figured out a day that suited her to bring the dress in, it was during my work hours as she could not put aside any time for me to bring the dress in that suited myself. I had an hour break and I had made that clear to her. On arrival we waited 20 minutes at the door with no acknowledgement from Debbie. The dress that I was holding was very heavy and I needed to put it down. I popped it on a rack close to me while we waited and we were rudely told by Debbie to not hang it there … at least that got her attention. She finally got us to show her the dress and the first thing she says is there is nothing wrong with it. She did not offer me to try it on and show her I again had to ask her if I could try it to show her the differences the display dress had from my own. I put my dress on and there were obvious things wrong with the dress and Debbie says “there’s nothing wrong with it” Then I tried the display dress on What do you know…. It fit perfectly!!!!!
I was measured and told the dress was made about 1-2inches off from the display dress. No wonder why it didn’t fit. Debbie was not going to resolve the issue she was just going to let me leave. No offer of getting a new dress or fixing the one that I had which should’ve happened …. I had 10 minutes till I had to get back to work so I couldn’t stay longer so I suggested taking the display dress. The clasp at the back was broken, there is a thread in the bodice that needs to be fixed and it needs to be sanitised before being handed to us as it is a display dress. We asked if we could be compensated for these things. Behold again Debbie was not going to even do that.
Very unsatisfied with her service we left.
I have been emailing her and asking for the dress to be sanitised and fixed as I have paid for a brand new dress and now received a display dress.
I am so saddened that I tried to force my body to an unrealistic size when the dress was just made incorrectly.
No apology, no compensation. Absolutely RUDE service from Debbie!
The stress that I have received from this bridal shop is not what any bride should ever experience. Do yourself a favour and NEVER come here to buy your dress.

From our 1st initial contact via phone, then 2 visits in person. We were greeted with the warmest welcome & professional prompt service.
We travelled from Ocean Grove as Sunset Bridal were able to meet our needs of hiring a Deb dress.
Rapted with reasonable hiring costs which included fitting,alterations & cleaning of dress. We also took up the option to post dress back. Our bond was received promptly.

Well we had 24 hours to find the 'perfect' dress for my daughters Debutante Ball. We traveled down from Mildura for the task and we were not disappointed with the service provided at Sunset Bridal. At first i thought we were going to be out of luck but i kept foraging around and so did the sale assistant and you bet we found that 'perfect' dress. Ever so helpful, thank you thank you. They also suggested somewhere for shoes and i wish i had gone their first because that is where we ended up finding the shoes to match! Thanks so much, appreciated it immensely.

I went into this store yesterday with quite low spirits, having been to several bridal stores prior and feeling overwhelmed at the +$1500 dresses that seemed a standard price and having seen none that suited me. I knew the minute my hand touched this dress that it would have to be mine, but I tried on several others just to be sure. The staff were incredibly helpful and supportive, reassuring me of what I knew, taking photos to quickly email to mum so that she could have some input. I walked out of the store feeling so very relieved and excited, because this beautiful dress was mine, and for $495! Their prices are beyond reasonable, and the stock in store looks and feels no different to that in a more expensive store. Give it a look, I think you'll be surprised

Debbie at Sunset Bridal was simply amazing when I went into her store to buy my wedding dress. I had been to all the big stores in Melbourne and been completely disheartened by the lack of friendly customer service, lack of size range and had been left tearful. Debbie instantly made me feel comfortable and happy. I no longer felt stressed about getting a dress that fit, and was finally choosing dresses by look rather than size. Debbie knew instantly what would fit me and look good on me, but was never pushing. Allowing me and my mum to browse as long as we wanted. The price range and size range was fantastic, I am usually an 18-22 in normal clothes and I was able to try on more dresses than I ever expected to or wanted to. I am very picky and Debbie encouraged me to put on any dress that caught my eye, and I ended up trying dresses on for fun which is something that I never expected to be doing. Standing in front of the huge mirror feeling like a princess while Debbie brought me different veils and jewellery to try on with the dresses was so much fun, that I left wanting to try more dresses. I found my perfect dress with Debbie and had the right size and colour ordered in for me. I had to have a few alterations which were organised by Debbie, and which made my perfect dress fit perfectly. The only downside to having such a great experience buying my wedding dress, is that I don't have a reason to buy another wedding dress through Debbie. I have recommended her to all of my friends and will continue to recommend her forever. My wedding dress was everything that I had imagined it to be since I was a little girl and my wedding day was just as amazing. A big thank you to Debbie you are amazing! If you are still there in 20 years when my little girl gets married I will be sure to come straight to you.
