Raj went out of his way to fit us in while we were travelling. Saved the day and visited us at our accommodation to finish the work. Thanks we appreciate your kindness.

The man is a rip off, tried to up quote when the work required was already indicated. I don't need diagnostics when I already told him the problem. I didn't mention I had an ecu scanner as well as done all my diagnostic checks.

Specifically asked for a specific quote. He simply said, 250 I'll come do the diagnosis. This isn't what I asked for.

Walk away. You'll find other technicians more trust worthy and won't try to make money out of you thinking you don't know anything about cars.

If I could do a cut and shut and rewiring and wiretuck a car. I think I can do a simple diagnosis myself. What I asked for was to get a part replaced. What I don't have is the tools to remove that particular part.

He's also extremely rude and arrogant. Do not deal with. RAJ.

If it's an electrical problem usually worth going to someone who specialises in electrical?

Been going there for about 30 years. Sometimes it's really worthwhile going there and sometimes it isn't.

Overall no problems with the quality of the work. They know what they're doing. Sometimes the quotes aren't very competitive... but that's why you get more than one quote and price the part yourself?

They correctly identified an earthing issue with the cruise control that the Mitsubishi dealer created and never diagnosed in 325,000 km. That was REALLY appreciated.

I often wish they were a bit more pro-active and suggested more ways to solve a problem? Instead I've always had to find solutions to many problems myself.

Never figured out what they reckon they're really good at... but they're better than me... and that's good enough?

Importantly they seem honest... and that means if they say something is wrong they're probably right.

Definitely happy to recommend them.

:-)

I had immobilizer problem, they told me they will give me quote first before they fix my car but never called me & they replace with a secondhand ecu & charged me $850, what a RIP. Secondhand ECU costs around $70-$80 on eBay & they charged $440 labor for 4 hours, just for easy job (unplug , plug it in & program).
BEWARE ! BEWARE ! BEWARE ! BEWARE ! BEWARE ! BEWARE ! BEWARE !

Approximate cost: $850

The old man at the parts counter is very friendly and takes his time talking to you and looking at your car. He knows a lot about his trade and gives honest, detailed advise that is aimed at genuinely helping the customer, not just making sales. He's been around long enough to have experienced most automotive issues himself and tells some interesting stories.
