Dance is great keeps you fit and in shape my kids do it every Saturday and cometitons Sunday they love it the instructors are very out there but it is a good thing lovely people

SCCOD is an amazing dance studio! My children have attended since they opened at the beginning of 2011, and the teachers are incredible. They are fantastic with the younger kids. 'Miss Karen' and 'Miss Jodie' are my daughters favorite people! It was amazing to see the concert last year, and to realize just how far my children have progressed. The studio is lovely, excellent position (right next to one of the best cafes on the coast) and is always very clean and tidy. I recommend this dance studio to everyone I know! If your child is young and just wanting to have fun dancing with a group, this is the place to come, and if your child is getting serious about dance, then SCCOD is the right place too! Highly recommended!

New review six months on: I recently attended my children's open viewing session at the end of term and was horribly disappointed. The teacher yelled insults continually at the class and at particular students, and berated them loudly and continually for mistakes (a class of 6 and 7 year olds) and the class was terribly overcrowded. I believe there were 28 students to 1 teacher. The class was run in four groups, so three groups were sitting waiting, while one group had the teachers attention. I realize that Ballet exams are coming up (hence the stressed teacher yelling insults) and some Eisstedford however what I saw was unacceptable when someone is being entrusted with the care of young children. At this point in time I am very disappointed with SCCOD and do NO LONGER recommend them.

UPDATED AGAIN: my children have continued on at SCCOD at their insistence. I was reluctant at first and determined to find another dance studio, however, I have seen no more instances of yelling or verbal abuse of students, and I am starting to believe that this was a stress reaction on the part of the teacher and hopefully a one-off. I do not whole heartedly recommend SCCOD now, however their dance tuition is fantastic, as my children have progressed markedly in the time they have attended. All I can say is, it is worth seeing them and making up your own mind.
