This place is now closed. This company has been the subject of prosecution under the Fair Work Act. See Canberra Times 4 March 2022. Staff underpaid about $656,000 after being penalised already in 2019 for exploiting workers.

Absolutely love this place. My wife and I go frequently whenever we stay in Canberra. Bit dear but good sushi trains are never cheap. Very friendly staff, always a huge variety on offer. Best sushi in Canberra. We're addicted!

So happy they opened a store on Canberra. The best sushi in town, hands down!
Yes - you may like some dishes more than others, but the variety means everyone will like something! Store is modern, clean and the staff are enthuisastic.
Sushi was a good as their QLD stores.
Would highly recommend you give it a shot.
Hint - ask for an order of takoyaki (fried octopus balls), it is the bomb!

Approximate cost: $40

Went to Sushi Bay tonight for a quick takeaway bite. Upon entering, the whole staff went up in arms with a bit of a cheer, which was a good start (it felt a little like I was entering a gameshow). The service was friendly and attentive - explaining what I needed to do for the takeaway option. The dishes were many and varied, a really good range and extremely fresh (nothing stale). Price was pretty high, but hey, with a sushi-train style, at least you know what you're getting and for what price. Really nice and airy restaurant with good atmosphere - very much recommended - a cut above the other stock standard sushi places at Westfield Belconnen!

New sushi place in Belconnen mall. Went to check it out. Their sushis are made in front of you like all sushi trains. Nice and clean. Sushi is ok, nothing special. Tried their fried Udon too. A little disappointed as it was really oily. This restaurant is not run by Japanese but Koreans. Still think Japanese make better sushis. Maybe I have been spoilt and had real Japanese sushis before when I used to live in Osaka.
If you haven't experienced sushi trains before and enjoy watching your run on a carousel going around and around, then you might enjoy your experience.
