I dropped off some pants for alteration. Staff very friendly and attentive. Very happy with alterations. Will use for more services from now on.

Do not trust your property to these people! I've had three (THREE) instances of this company treating customer's personal property, left on trust, with absolute contempt. First, I took in a dress to be taken up an inch at the knee - because of "the way the seamstress pinned it", they cut it almost in half. No, I'm not joking. I thought still, maybe misunderstanding, I should give them a second chance. Then a jacket came back from dry-cleaning and was presented to me with the hook-closure button completely ripped off! And they tried to tell me it must have been like that when I brought it in - sadly, again, not joking. This last time, I brought in a brand new blouse to have some darts put in and be taken up slightly. They called me to say "Oh, we're really sorry but it's been stained by the seamstress when she was making the alterations." They offered the usual excuses (which I'm wryly guessing they must have to be pretty good at making, it would come up so often!) - oh, we're an agent for a dry-cleaner, it's not our fault, oh the owner isn't in (she never is), I can pass on your concerns. Offers to try and repair or clean - ok, that's nice but dry-cleaning ruins good fabrics (clothes always feel and fall differently after their first dry-clean, sadly) and hey, here's a novel business idea: how about just taking care of the customer's clothing in the first place?! Seriously, I should have known better after the first time, but was tempted by the convenience. Never again. I sincerely warn anyone who cares about their clothes and spends money on them to NOT leave your property with these people. They don't care about the customer and they don't think they have a responsibility to treat your property with respect.

Being quite small in size I often have to get clothes altered to fit. Brought a dress in to get the sides taken in and a quite average job was done for twice the price I pay at my normal tailors who is also located in the city. Usually at my normal tailors they tell me how to alter the clothes to make it look good on me. At Swallow I had to tell the staff what I think they should do and let's just say it didn't end up too well and in the end I had to take it back to my normal tailors to get fixed. An expensive exercise and sorry to say but I don't think I'll be back.

Hey, just wondering which other tailors you go to in the city?

Hey sorry for the late response, but I usually go to PQ fashions in the T&G building on Queen Street.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for alterations. They are the cheapest fastest and mist efficient in Brisbane. And they give you a complimentary reusable bag to keep!

I have been using them for cloths alterations and repairs for a few time. Always quick and to my satisfaction. Price is also a bit cheaper than others.
