I wouldn’t recommend these drivers to anyone. I have been overcharged in the past by drivers taking me out of the way as I don’t know the city.
Today it took 4 attempts at the airport for a driver to take me! Two refused as I was alone! The other told me that I wasn’t going far enough.
Avoid at all costs!

We usually hire a car from Perth Airport but this time we decided to get a taxi. We were going to Como which is quite near the airport (about 20 mins max). We new exactly where we were going as my daughter lives there and we have been several times. We took the first taxi in line which was a Swan Taxi and asked for a rough estimate. He said he couldn't tell me as it was metered although my daughter tells me they used to give an estimate and fixed price on their app. At first all OK but just before we got on the Canning Highway and 5 minutes from where we were staying in Como, the driver took a right and took us through the City and back on the Kwinana Freeway which is big unnecessary loop (a tourist route). We queried it with him when passed the Stadium and it was obvious he was going the wrong way but he said this was the right way to go. He said he knew where we were staying but googled it on the way. Eventually we did arrive but with a $60 charge - We asked locals what they have paid and the cheapest was $29 and the most expensive was $40 and everybody thought going through the city to get to Como was madness! We gave the company the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might not be aware of what their driver was doing, but no, they endorsed the practise and now you can't get a quote from their app. So avoid Swan Taxis and use another company - Our taxi back to the airport (using the proper route) has been quoted at $31 with Uber)

most of the time you are waiting ages for a cab - and if you are alone waiting for a cab then you had best not look shady or the cab driver wont stop. true

I wanted to get from one end of Ballajura to the other, as it is such a big suburb and waited for Black and White taxis for over an hour. Rang Swan taxis and they arrived within 5 minutes. Never go B & W always go Swan I have never had a problem
