We have been going to Sweet Lily's in the Italian Forum for close on 9 years now. We travel approximately 13kms each way to get to Leichhardt, but it is well worth the trip!
The variety of fresh cakes is amazing, I took my Family there for a bithday celebration afternoon tea and they had trouble deciding what to order because there were so many yummy things to consider.
The service is good and the Staff friendly. The same lady has owned it for the last 9 years at least and bakes many of the cakes on offer on the premises.
I can recommend the pavlova, caramel bannana pie, caramel pecan meringue, Tiramisu and Cheescake just to name a few.
The cakes are served with cream and ice cream and are a generous size portion.
Washed down with a cappuccino you need to see to believe, it makes it the ideal place to go for coffee and cake.

I have been going to Sweet Lily's since 2005. I found this place by accident, even though I don't believe in accidents. I have frequently gone there for an unbelievable dining experience. The staff is fantastic, always have a happy and helpful demeanour.

Some of the many choices available include New York cheesecake, Blueberry cheesecake, a TIRAMISU cheesecake that will have you coming back for seconds. Mud Cake, Lemon Meringue Pie.

There's even a Gelato stand.

Sweet Lily's has mass appeal. There's a Lolly display that will make you feel like you're at Willy Wonka's factory.

The owner is constantly outdoing him/herself by constantly introducing new meals. A chocolate Mousse that will entice your tastebuds is a recent addition that I highly recommend.
The coffee has a premium taste and the thick shakes are nothing like you'll ever experience in life.

we have been going to sweet lilys for 8 years and highly recvomend it. the cakes are fresh daily. cakes are served large portions with cream or ice cream . the drinks both hot and cold are delicious and the iced chocolate is to die for. The service is friendly and it is great for couples and families.

I tried this once on a recent trip to the Italian Forum and I have to say, never again. The lady who served me was unfriendly - they had an odd looking tiramisu cake and I asked her if I could see what it looked like inside, to see how much cream is in it. All she had to do was turn the cake so I could see a portion that had been cut from a person before me, but she just replied "it looks like cake." She ended up giving me the wrong order, and the cake was served with a dollop of cream and ice cream - coming to $10 for a small slice of cake and home brand ice cream. Terrible experience for me.
