He ended up coming over on a public holiday (at no additional cost) - and when the problem was identified as an issue with the sewer in the street, he came back the following day to complete the job (once the sewer was fixed). Very punctual and honest about what could/couldn't be fixed with our house (which is very old, and the drains are in pretty poor shape)
