To be fair, this venue is gorgeous - beautifully kept grounds and a boutique vineyard in a nice part of mornington peninsula. Lots of options for wedding ceremonies from a rose arbor to a sunken garden to a rose canopy leading out to a pretty fountain. The restaurant is nice, overlooking the grounds. The food isn't bad, but it's not great considering the price. The customer service though, is BAD. They have rude wait staff who look like they wish they were anywhere else but here. They also take bookings for eventsthat is run by another company - don't do it, I've booked to have my wedding at morning star and so far, it has been the worst experience ever.

Went there last weekend with a small group of girlfriends. I loved the beautiful atmosphere and amazing gardens and views. The service was good and the meals were yummy. I would have to say that being hit on by the tall, dark, handsome 17-18 yr old waiter was quite definatly the highlight of my week. Thank you.

sewrvice is good, food way below average for the amount of money you are charged. My dish arrived cold while my partners was cooked incorrectly. Your payinmg for the location & views only.

Food 10/10; Service 10/10; Location 10/10 But I do not recommend to stay there overnight. The rooms are small (it is an old building) * NO fridge * NO Air conditioning * NO hairdrier * NO room to at least keep an esky * NO iron * old furniture no basic items you would expect when paying over $150 a room, a night...

Recently we stayed at Morning Star Estate for a weekend away, the gardens are just beautiful it would be a great setting for wedding photos with port phillip bay as a back drop the views are spectacular, the restaurnt is fine dining at it's best they really treat you special and are very polite the food is magnificent value for money....the accomadation put a dampner on the whole weekend it has left us with a sour taste in our mouth we have been planning this weekend for some time and we travelled three hours only to be dissapointed, the rooms are over priced for what you get,the amount of dust on the t.v,light fittings and tables was disgusting surely the amount of money they charge for a night they can afford a cleaner ...disappointed..

The restaurant at Morning Star Estate would have to be the best i have encountered in a long time! The gardens are to die for, the views magnificent and the food in word:phenomenal! The service was speedy and spectacular, your glass is never empty and as a rule the customers comfort comes first. The ambience is relaxed, the dishes delectable and the desserts heavenly(i recommend the choc mousse with hazelnut meringue and raspberries yummmm!)A stroll in the gorgeous gardens is a must do for any visitor as is a wander past the water feature with its magnificent fountain. Tipping is a must at this dining establishment as you are left content with a full belly and superior dining experience. Two thumbs up here and will definitely be dining again in future. Thank you!
