Best bakery but tomato sauce in those plastic pouches makes the sauce ferment. Bakery needs to put there own sauce in

I stopped for a coffee and sausage roll as I headed off to Keith. Definitely worth the detour, just a short distance. This really is a great bakery, happy smiling staff, a welcoming hello, quick service even when it is busy, delicious coffee and pastries,

Our last lunch stop on the way home so chose this bakery. Great pies and sausage rolls to enjoy. Near a park with toilets and benches too. Makes a good stop for a quick lunch. There is a large selection of bakery food, both savoury and sweet on offer here.

Stopped at the Tailem Bend Bakery whilst traveling from Adelaide to Melbourne for a coffee and cake.

I ended up going with the apple turnover which was really good - am sure it added kilos to my body but I certainly enjoyed it. Old fashioned cream and nice pastry.

They have coffee here but it certainly isnt a cafe. A rung up from servo coffee but that's hardly the benchmark. Service again, was ok but wouldnt rave. It seems like staff in some of these bakeries dont like their jobs anymore ? Is that a societal change right there?

In any case, worth a stop but only because its on the way.

Approximate cost: $10

This is a large bakery with lots of choices. Flavour of the pies is good. If you go too late in the afternoon there is not much left in the pie warmer. I like the buns and there is a good range to choose from. Eat in or takeaway. Doesnt take long to be served even when they are busy.

A really lovely place with wonderful food. Have visited their sister bakery in Murray Bridge on many occasions and was happy to find that the Tailem Bend bakery was even better. I still got a great hot dog, the rolls these guys use are amazing! Don't expect a horrid, limp excuse for a hot dog roll. I assume they are made on the premises and they are delicious. Everything smelt so nice in there and I couldn't resist one of their treats.

The Tailem Bend bakery is also located in Murray Bridge called Wall Bakery just past the motor registation. They have the best chunk steak pies. Also there donuts are so huge and tasty.

Great friendly country style bakery with heaps of different pasteries to choose from. All the food is baked on the premises by the great baker Mike and his team. You can sit down and eat or sit in the train park across the road and a great place to let the children play in a totally fenced in area
