We called on Sam at Take A Paws, after attending puppy classes, which were a huge waste of time and money. After 3 or 4 weeks, our Puppy had learned nothing that we hadn't already taught him ourselves.

So we called on Sam, as we were having some potty training issues, and walking on the leash issues. having said that, our puppy was only about 3 months old, so it was all normal, but we just wanted the best life for him, and to train him right.

After only about 2 hours with Sam, ALL of our questions were solved! Sam is honestly the best investment we ever made, and at only a small $250, it was worth every single cent. Don't waste your time on puppy classes. as I found out in my own research, they don't need this, as they are born in a litter, and if breeded correctly, have spent a full 8 weeks with other puppies.

Seriously, you wonder what on Earth you could be taught, that you don't already know, but take our word for it....it is amazing what sam brings with him. It will be the best investment you ever made.

So happy with Sam that i have recommended him to other friends that have dogs with behavioral issues. Sam asked me many questions on the phone when i first called him about my dog's behaviour and was the only person who said that my dog could be encouraged to lead a happy healthy life. I was not able to leave my dog for any longer than 15 minutes without him having extreme anxiety, drooling and destroying things in his frenzy. I was at my wits end. Sam came over and spent about 3 hours going through a whole lot of things with me and observing my dogs behaviour. Sam made lots of great suggestions that i have never even heard of and explained things from an animals perspective. Only 2 months later I can leave my dog all day while I am at work and i come home to a happy stress free dog. I could not have done it without Sam's help.

I had great difficulty with my 5 year old GSP Henry. I tried every method I could find on the internet but none worked. When Sam came to see us, Henry improved immediately. With a few more days of following what we learned, now Henry walks perfectly. Our daily walks have turned into pleasure from a tedious task.

All I can and have to say about them is: GREAT. Easy, pleasant experience, instant results and fair price. What more can you ask for? Very happy.

I used their service a few years ago with my staffy to correct some issues he had. I had recently adopted another dog from a shelter and after a few days there were problems with both dogs not getting along well. I did not want to take the new dog back so after the excellent results I got last time with Sam, I did not hesitate to book him again. He came out and quickly assessed the reasons for the dog's behaviour. After a couple of hours of work and teaching me what was needed to maintain them, they are now good friends and we are a happy family. I cannot say enough about how great this company's service is. I am so thankful I found them.

I joined Womow just so I can rave about this service. I called Sam for information and he actually answered himself after I called three other companies. One got back to me after two days and I never heard from the others. I was asked all the right questions and Toby's problems were assessed and I got a very reasonable cost quote. Sam came out and very patiently explained the causes and what must be done. Sam was able to get Toby to respond immediately and I did much of the training with supervision. Now a few weeks later I have a model dog that people I meet at the dog park praise.

I had issues with my papillon that I could not get under control. Toileting was not perfect and she refused to get off the couch. Also, walking her was not pleasant. Sam came to my home and patiently explained what I needed to know. He got her off the couch and she never got on again. The walking became easy within minutes and the toileting took a couple of weeks and was also resolved. All I can say is: WOW!

Absolutely brilliant! Sam turned up and observed my dog for a few minutes and instantly knew what core behavioral issues that we should correct and assured me that once this is dealt with, all other training (ie sit, recall, heel) will be a doddle to deal with. Not only that he was correct but spot on. After 4 days, my Goldie is a joy to bring for walks, recognises who is the leader, so much more calmer and will even allow my 3 year old hold the leash while he's on walks. Excellent. All dog trainers should learn from Sam. Highly recommended.

Our dog henri was a bit bitey and barkey. Sam was very good with our dog henri and the results are pretty fast too. we would definitely recommend him.
