I do like the food at the Taroona hotel, and the service is fine, but I do find it to be quite inconsistent. Sometimes we will go there and the portions will be absolutely massive and other times it will be average, so occasionally you'll end up with way way too much food ordered but they don't warn you that you've ordered way too much for 2-4 people. Last time I was there I had the prawn and chorizo pizza...and there was no chorizo on it! Our server was lovely and gave us some money off the bill, but I was a bit disappointed.

This is a lovely place to go for either lunch or dinner, i recently went here for lunch and had the stuffed chicken breast with wood fired veggies, it was so yummy! Not to mention they have a floor to ceiling window that has great views of the derwent river. I really enjoyed my chicken alot my friend had the beer battered fish and chips and thought the quality of the fish could have been better, but thats the only negative i can think of. They also have lovely wood fired pizzas avaliable there, i saw one come out to another table and it looked lovely, would definatly like to go back to try one next time, it was not busy at all when we arrived around 12.30pm but as we were eating many more people came to dine and it was really busy. All round it is a lovely place to eat. Check it out!

Approximate cost: $22
