Great coffee, fantastic pastries (dangerous if you are dieting!) and window seating where you can watch the world go by.

Approximate cost: $12.00

We went to Taste of Belgium after seeing a raving review about their waffles and pastry in Sydney Morning Herald. We got there, the place was absolutely packed so we had to wait for a table which is fine, but the place is very crammed so it wasn't exactly the most comfortable place to hang out.
There were menus on the table but we were told that they couldn't serve any of the breakfast menu items because the chef was not around?!
So we ordered waffles and coffee instead, and my husband ordered a croissant.
The coffee was awesome. One of the best we've had. The croissant was very fluffy and nice. However I was a little disappointed with the waffle. It was cold, and slightly on the soggy side? Wasn't up to a 'Belgian' waffle experience I've had in Belgium!
Service is a little iffy. Besides the barista who managed to smile and came to help us there wasn't anyone else around and we just couldn't believe we couldn't order anything because the chef had gone somewhere, why give us the menu then?
I suppose our review had been affected by this, so we weren't impressed with the lack of service (and food) and it was also slightly more expensive than your average cafe.

Approximate cost: $On average $5 for a pastry item
