Taverner Restaurant was amazing - the master pieces the 5 Star chef sends to your table sends your taste buds crazy.

Hubby had the duck and I had the fish "Barra" WOW both meals were amazing - They were so tender and juicy
with true flavours

Taverners DO NOT fill your plate with packet salad and hot chips like other restaurants tend to do

The chef is 5 Star - the food and flavour is 5 STAR excellence

We can't wait to take all our friends

We were very impressed with the polite friendly waiter, after each course the waiter would clear away all dishes cutlery and napkins and reset your table.
Very professional !!

The Taverner was a nice surprise, especially as it's tucked away in Brisbane's northern suburbs. Our first experience was the warmest of warm welcomes from Ashley, our waitress. She was helpful, accommodating and always smiling.

First up we had a huge bowl of chips with aioli and for once, the aioli wasn't like a little sample dish. There was plenty of it to last the whole bowl of chips and it was tasty too. I had tempura prawns with an Asian salad. The prawns were fantastic but the salad was a bit lacking; not much flavour and not enough of it to be a substantial vegetable accompaniment.

My friend had the Lemongrass and Chilli Bisque which was festooned with halved yabbies. Unfortunately it was difficult to eat and there was very little evidence of lemongrass or chilli in the bisque.

The wines were great and there's also a pretty decent cocktails menu on offer. The atmosphere is pleasant and spacious with seating available inside or outside.

The best thing about our visit was the service but I did love those prawns too. Oh, and the chips ;)
