Avoid these people at all costs! My partner needed the screen replaced on her new brand name laptop as it had been cracked so I called Techbiz as their website claimed they could replace them while you waited. When she turned up (Thursday) the staff were very rude and told her the screen size she needed wasn't in stock (this was before they even opened it up) so she would have to leave it with them and pick it up the next day (they would call to say it was ready). She later realised they didn't ask for her name or phone number so they had no way of contacting her or identifying which laptop was hers. Towards the end of the next day (Friday) I called to ask whether it was ready for collection. I was told there had been a problem but the management had left for the day so I would have to wait until the next business day (Monday) to speak with the management. I left my name and number and asked for them to call me on Monday. Monday came: no phone call. I called again and was told a similar story. Tuesday came: no phone call. I called again and told them my partner was on her way to pick it up whether it was fixed or not as this was just ridiculous. When my partner got home she turned the laptop on again and used it as usual for a few hours. Everything seemed okay except the battery seemed to be draining about 3 times quicker than usual and we couldn't figure out why. After using the laptop for a couple of weeks (with the battery still draining incredibly fast) it then started to overheat. This happened a couple of times before finally it overheated so much the laptop shut down and wouldn't restart even the next day. I called Techbiz and spoke to the management who refused to believe it had anything to do with them and what was happening now was just a "coincidence". I told them they had told me there was a one year warranty on all repairs to which they replied the warranty is only 3 months as long as we can show a receipt. At this point I just gave up. We have since taken the laptop to another repair shop who has told us the replacement screen appears to be second hand and of very poor quality. They are rude and couldn't care less about wasting your time.
