My wife and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary at the Thai Orchid. We had the greatest of nights. The staff are terrific and the food magnificent. I don't like really hot food. However, I left with my mouth feeling warm but it didn't overpower the other fragrant and fresh tastes, It is definitely worth giving it a go. The only thing I regret is we hadn't invited a bigger group.

An unbeatable dining experience. This is my favourite Thai restaurant in SA - and I have tried most!
The service is brilliant - lovely staff, and they always try to fit you in regardless of whether they are booked out or not (and they are usually booked out or pretty close to booked out unless you call a few nights in advance).
The food is amazing and they have good sized servings - particular favourites of mine are basil beef, prawn cakes, chicken mince salad, and their green curry chicken is the best green curry I have ever had!
Definitely one to try. Nothing I can fault.

Wonderful friendly people, along with always amazing food! The amount of different options is astounding the view is something to be remembered for a long time! Its just a beautiful spot.

Its all about the food. It is crowded and noisy so you know the food is good or people wouldn't go. Service a bit slow - you have to hail the waiter, but they were full. Best Thai food I have ever eaten. Magnificent. Great menu. I highly recommend it to everyone. You must book or you won't get in.
