Met up with friends for a celebration, amazingly it wasn't busy and service was very quick. A few of us ordered the steak, salt n pepper squid and schnitzel. I tried the beef schnitzel and asked for salad, chips and surf n turf topping. I would say around 20 minutes later all our meals arrived. My schnitzel was great, a few more prawns would have been great but the salad (what salad?) it was basically just rocket leaves with a small tomato wedge sitting on top, it was limp, bland and uninteresting, quite a disappointment. It wasn't just my meal, anyone who asked for salad received the same thing. So if you love salad, don't bother, go with the vegies.

My friends live locally so this is often our meeting point starting off with a few drinks and then a meal in the bistro, the portions are reasonable and prices about average. The girls often head off to try their luck with the pokies and the guys have a few games of pool. Always an enjoyable experience for all.

This hotel has been nicely renovated and refurbished, it has large plasmas, fireplaces, sports bar, garming room (which we enjoyed), beer garden and a bistro. The staff were friendly, service was a little slow with our meals but is was very busy. Try the fried chicken wings and sla & pepper squid - absoultely mouthwateringly good.
