we took in August some friends from Europe to the Bouzy Rouge for dinner - we certainly loved the athmosphere and the the mirrored bulls heads mounted on the wall were an interesting tough. our dinner was made up of a variety of Tapas - overall great food. The scallops were I must say a bit small for the price you paid, but still tasty. Loved the Pate de pato and the Calamares. Yes it was a bit pricey, but for a special night out it was worth it.

A small group of us with one exception had below par quality meals. The fish in the ? whatever was so disappointing. The Pork was also not great. Just not worth it. So many other top restaurants out there, why bother.

Approximate cost: $to much

Interesting fit out.............eclectic and warm. The mirrored bulls heads mounted on the wall certainly were fun!
They forgot our reservation and scrambled to find us a table.
The waiter had an adorable French accent, but was inattentive and would WHOOSH away like a genie!!!! It took ages to order a drink, ages to put in a food order, 3 waiters being asked to get butter for the bread .
The theme it seemed was good service but in small intense bursts...and then nothing in between.......very disappointing. The desserts were lovely (creme brulee, chocolate fondant and gelato - yum) , mains ho hum (paella dry, pasta small for a large size). Very Very pricey.

Approximate cost: $32

Had a business lunch here around christmas time. Lovely venue with great ambience. Service was also great. Would like to go back one evening.

Lovely interior but dishes a bit rich. Other people might like it but it wasnt really my thing. Recommend for a nice night out though. Cosy interior. Oh - the bread and garlic paste was delicious.

When you first walk in it really does have a "WOW" factor to the place. Great decor. Very European feel. Food was ok. I had the Leek and Marscapone tortellini - a bit on the oily side with the tortellini swimming in butter. Maybe thats how the dish is - rich. Had the chocolate tart - that was really nice - recommended by our waiter and I would certainly recommend it. Good for a night out but a bit on the pricey side.

I love love love this restaurant! I have never really been there and used it as a bar, which it has out the front, but I go to the restaurant probably about once a month. The eye fillet is just divine, and reasonable priced. They have a lovely pink champagne that I always purchase and the yummy crusty bread with oil at the beginning goes down a treat. Their desserts (like the honey comb centre chocolate pudding and the creme brulee) are so nice, I rarely have room but I usually try to at least share one with somebody because they are just so delish! The waiters are absolutely lovely and so attentive.

Approximate cost: $20-35

They have a lovely courtyard at the back. Good food and good service.
The restaurant itself has a very dramatic atmosphere. Fun with a difference.

We have been to the Bouzy Rouge many times for dinner and recently we had our wedding upstairs. The staff were amazingly attentive and were much fun to have as part of our wedding night! Jose and Sandra are very well known in the industry for buying old pubs and turning them into something great. The food is always fantastic, mainly being tapas style and they have a fantastic courtyard which is great for summer.
