Not overly impressed with our experience at Cafe Forte on the weekend. While they have a decent, varied and affordable menu, they lose points for service and quality.

The pumpkin in the risotto was hard and undercooked and the poached egg on my broccolini and green bean salad was solid, which is pretty disappointing in a nice cafe - you should be able to poach an egg perfectly with your eyes closed. Given it was around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon and there were probably only 10-15 other people in the cafe, we had to ask twice for some water to be brought to our table and our drinks were only brought out with our meals. Iced coffee was made with syrup rather than real coffee.

Service just seemed lacklustre and flustered - maybe expected on a busy day when the cafe is chock full of people, but a little bizarre when there's hardly anyone there.

To add to all this, the proselytising religion brochures beside the table added to the general bad taste the cafe left in our mouths. Won't be back any time soon.

Really nice little place to eat however the wait for food is a little on the excessive side so if your in a rush it is not the place but the food is worth the wait at times.

This place has nice tasting hot chocolates and vanilla slices. Quick service and not too expensive. Nice atmosphere as well.

We enjoy the atmosphere in Cafe Forte and have been in a few times now for different reasons. The meals take quite a while to come out on occasion which can lead to people having finished their meals whilst others in the party are still waiting for theirs to arrive. The entertainment is pleasant and not intrusive. We enjoyed playing chess.

I enjoy going to Cafe Forte for lunch. They have a good menu and have good prices. Unfortunately their service has been quite bad at times though. However, I still enjoy the atmosphere and the food and I will go back again.
