1 review about The Cheesecake Shop

We've had a issue with this store before when I went to order a cake for my son's birthday the day before and they couldn't fill the order of a white mudcake for me as they were already decorated for sale on the day I needed. Today however, I went in with my 7yo Asperger Syndrome son to redeem one of the three vouchers I had purchased for a cheesecake (each one cost me $12 instead of $24.95) which I thought expired at the end of March, only to be told they expired yesterday. I showed the (store owner I think) the voucher I was trying to redeem and he said that it had expired yesterday. I said that I thought they went to the end of March. He looked at it and asked me where the conditions were. I told him that was all I could print out of my vouchers. The next thing he did was walk out to the back of the store and got his copy and showed me the expiry date. Then he said quite firmly to me "I told them this would lead to problems". I then said "And I have three of these". His attitude then was well tough luck. I then walked out and stated to my son "Well now mummy doesn't get a birthday cake for tomorrow". We went back to the car and I had to deal with him melting down because I had told him we'll get a cheesecake.
I wouldn't complain if this had been a free voucher, but as I had purchased it and another two, costing me $36 ($11 more than the cost of one cheesecake) I feel cheated somewhat. I have the belief the store was credited the value of the voucher when the it was purchased, so if that is so, I have received three pieces of worthless paper for my $36. I acknwoledge that it had expired, but I feel that the way I was spoken to was definitely not called for. And personally, I do think a more compassionate businessman who wanted to keep his clientele happy would have still honored at least one of the vouchers or offered something to the value of what the vouchers had cost. (After all I have 6 children and we used to buy the cakes for their birthdays from there) After this, I will be looking for someone who makes nice fresh white chocolate mudcakes and will accept me as an eager customer
