Had my haircut With Effie an amazing hairdresser, she knew exactly what I wanted and she gave me great advice on treating my scalp too. I’ll definitely be going there for my next haircut.

Absolutely disgusted with this salon. Paid $190 for half head of foils that was not blended properly. Was told to come back a week later. I trusted my instinct and called to ask if there will be a charge.... $120 to fix their poor work!!! Had the audacity to blame my hair (my previous hairdresser did a perfect job every single time). [redacted inflammatory comment]

When first called I explained what I wanted and that I required two tubes for my hair and was told "no no we don't do that" so I hung up, thought I called the wrong place. Called back and asked if they dye hair at all, got a yes, said I required two tubes got a basic quote of $120. When I attended my appointment, I was told because I had used a wash out it needed to be stripped, I explained that's never had to happen in the past. It was then shampooed and the wash out dye washed out. At payment I was told my hair got bleached and I was to pay an extra $100. When I got home and saw my hair under normal lighting, its two different colours!!

Worse hair salon ever! I went to cross cuts in the city after a whole new look. When the staff asked what I had wanted I told them the type of colours I wanted. Now, I'm not a fuss person. Basically, all I wanted was a new colour, new look! I put my trust in the hairdresser because you know hairdressers know best, it's their profession not mine. But instead I came out looking exactly the SAME! That whole time to look the same and they knew I wasn't impressed. The hairdresser literally took my outside with a mirror to show me the "reflection" colour they did. I never asked for a reflection colour? I was also given a survey which actually made no sense asking questions like.. "How was the after results?" Well my hair is still being coloured so that's a n/a. It's something you give at the end not during the session. So after all of that they charged me $380 including shampoo and conditioning. Look, I don't care about the wasted money but at least do something right! Funny enough I left and went to another staff the NEXT day that actually did my hair right and only charged $55 and the staff worked at cross cuts in Elizabeth! Major difference! I left feeling you just wanted to take as much money from me without caring and that's fine but you won't find me there again or my friends and family.

Would you buy goods from small businesses or big department stores? Kids bought me a xmas present, a very expensive hair straighter, I was very happy, but also disappointed. Happy because kids are very caring, I mentioned to them I would like to have a hair curler so they bought me one unfortunately it was not the right one. I dont need a hair straighter as my hair is straight. I mentioned to my kids, they were disappointed too, to comfort them I suggested I would go back to the shop Cross Cut Hair Salon to exchange it. It sounds easy but not really. I went back to the shop straight after the xmas when the shops reopened and I was told they dont exchange for hygienic reason. However on the receipt it stated any exchange must be made in the same condition they were sold initially (unused), my was still in the box untouched. Then they mentioned it was purchased 10 days ago more than 7 days, as it states on the receipt under conditions of sale that any exchange must be made within 7 days. But it was a xmas present, I could not open it straight after it was purchased. I was not asking to give refunds, sample just to exchange the good, is it unreasonable? So my point is we are trying and teaching kids to do the right thing to shop and support small businesses, but sometime it is just too hard. I dont think I would I have any trouble to exchange even return my hair present if it was purchased from a big department store. What should I tell kids, shopping in the big department stores next time?

The stylist had a hard time understanding what I wanted with my colour even though I brought in a handful of photos for them to look at. They were also really quiet... I was the only one there... and all of the other hairdressers stood around me talking to my hairdresser loudly while I was trying to relax and read a magazine. It seemed really unprofessional. I wasn't that happy with the colour so I called back later that day and the reception staff was really rude and told me it was too late. I wouldn't go back!

I had my hair done at this salon and was really happy with my haircut,I think Larissa is the stylist but she understood what I wanted and made me feel comfortable she sold me some good products to use for my hair style as well, I will definitely go there again.
