Love this place for live music and bands and they really do get some great artists and gigs. Cool, laid back atmosphere. Friendly staff. Sometimes there is a long queue so get there early!

Great place for live music! They get some great bands performing and it's such a great atmosphere. Will make you want to dance and sing and jump up on stage! Drinks are expensive, but that's like anywhere now.
Haven't tried the food although I have heard good things about their breakfasts!

Relaxed vibe, friendly crowd, a great place to drink with friends and even meet new friends! The entertainment is good, it can just get rather loud, I prefer sitting outside here.

Come for the music, stay for the drinks, leave.... kicking and screaming! Haha. The Espy will always feel like home, and you just never know who you're going to meet

Best beer garden in Melbourne. Awesome free live bands, great views of St Kilda and the beach, easy to get to. Can't want more...except not the cheapest place to drink. Overall it's one of my favourite places to go out, can't go wrong with a night out at "the Espy"!

What great views there are of St Kilda beach from here. Great way to spend an afternoon havin food and drinks. Love the old vibe the hotel has.

Great for live music, it's a cool venue with chilled out people. They have cheap food and quick service as well.

We had a great night out with friends at The Esplanade. The menu had plenty of options and the food and service was terrific. I would definitely go back

Always good entertainment, good food at decent prices. Renovations were a much needed improvement. Good atmosphere. A Melbourne icon.

Ahh.... the espy! Grab a cold beer & a meal from the espy kitchen. Meal specials everyday of the week with tuesday nights being $12.50 steak night (150grams i think) but never the less still a tasty bargain.
The service is order and pay at the counter (traditional pub meal style) with the food sometimes taking awhile but always hot and tasty when it does arrive...besides , who's in a rush when you are hanging with mates enjoying a drink and some fun!
