We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which was great - enough privacy for two couples as one bedroom was off the entrance and the other off the other side. They had pay tv which was cool - although we did watch a simpsons marathon LOL! We did have a go at the pools...THe indoor (heated) pool was small but still nice to go for a dip...the outdoor pool being a very chilly december was icy! but fun to go in and then into the indoor pool. The kitchen is a full kitchen and the rooms were clean...they are the pricier end of the scale - we stayed at Christmas time...but my motto is don't pay for anything that's not better than being at home and this place did feel comfortable!

Approximate cost: $300

Stayed at The Esplanade Resort & Spa for a long weekend recently and it was a great home away from home.
Our two bedroom apartment was very well appointed with a queen master (with ensuite + spa), second bedroom had double bed and walk in robes in both rooms. There was a second bathroom with washing machine and kitchen/lounge with everything you could ever need.
The staff were helpful & friendly when the power supply was cut due to severe weather and although it was a little more than we would normally pay (manly because it was peak time for the long weekend) It was well worth it & we will definitely stay there again.

Approximate cost: $200 p/n (peak) for 2brm appartment

Extremely small room, ensuite very very small not enough room for two people to be in there same time. Charges for internet $5-95 for 30minutes whilst most other motels in area are free wireless. Ate in restaurant but RSL just down road more than half the price and better food and much bigger serves. Wouldn't describe as resort more like large apartment block, does have two pools, inside one too small for how many apartments there are. Breakfast quite good but had to wait for buffet trays to be filled at busy times. Would look elsewhere next time we travel to the Lakes.

Approximate cost: $200

A great place to relax. They also have a day spa called Illuka. It is a nice walk into town. They also have a restaurant.
