A really nice little cafe. Great decor. We had baguettes and soup followed up by an almondine with fig. The baguette was great and the almondine was perfect (no too sweet and perfect density). Their french onion soup was good but a bit too sweet and the onions weren't cut fine enough so it wasn't enjoyable to eat.

Service was friendly but they are so packed that it is a little rushed. We found we were queued to buy something only to be told after waiting that the particular register was closed. Otherwise the waiter were good.

The French House is amazing. The food is fantastic and the seating in the sun is beautiful. No expense has been spared, right down to the fine china plates. If your looking for a great, freshly cooked pastry or a beautifully fresh roll the French House it the place to go. The cakes and pastries are amazing and the bread is the best in Sydney. If your in the area, you have to check it out.

Approximate cost: $14
