My family has been going to this place since the 1950s and I remember it as one of my favourite places to eat (and pretty much the only reason to go to Bondi Beach!) Still, on recent visits it has been a bit of a mixed bag. I've come to the conclusion The Gelato Bar is THE place to go for soup and dessert. The mains are not as I remember them, so disappointing if only because they are doing a memory a disservice. I'd never just order a schnitzel (a very safe option) but they are recommended by my fellow diners. I'm not a fan of Vittoria coffee so I'll have to find something else on the menu to wash one of their yummy cakes down with.
