Buderim Ginger factory, a really good way to spend a few hours ,the grandkids wore us out trying to keep up with them, trying out the train , buying icecream, which is excellent, and drinks. so much to see and keep them busy, Told the kids to bring their parents next time as they might be able to keep up with them.

Lots to do for the kids and adults can walk back thru nostalgia when they walk thru the garage shops down the back. Lots of goodies in the shop to buy,we paid for the river boat ride, not much for, adults but good for,the kids amusement, was a nice boat ride. The train was better as it takes
You on a tour of the park. Gorgeous flowers and the birds of oaradise are stunning when in bloom.
Its quite a walk but cafes and ice cream dot the grounds. Its a lovely day out, take plenty of water and sunscreen. Lots to see for free.

Wow, is this place still there. I remember it from when I was a girl.

With beautiful grounds, a great kids playground, and quite a few shops to wander through, we really enjoyed our morning here. It's well worth a visit, though we would warn that you need to have patience when waiting for your food or drinks from the cafe - it took quite a while just for a tea and scones, and they definitely need to improve on this. Otherwise, the ginger scones were fantastic, and the flavoured ginger beer was delicious, though pricier than we would expect buying direct from the source. Would make a great place for a kids party.

Always loved the ginger factory . But its getting a bit outdated . We still love the walk around the yesteryear shops and the hardens are superb near the shops. Lots to eat and main shop at the front has everything ginger, souvenirs, jams, spreads, sweets ice creams ,the list is endless. The train that costs extra to tour around the property is still good. Doesnt get packed like it used to during holidays so its still a nice walk around the property . Parking lot is huge so no problems there . Tickets can be purchased from the front or at the train station up,the back ,you can get all sorts of deals now. The boat trip is quite fun theu the tunnel with the dancing girls lol
You can also do a factory tour which we did for $11 shows u start to finish of how the ginger is grown and harvested and processed i to many different items. Good learning process for city kids open from 9-5

My kids love coming here for a fun morning out! A highlight is the train ride & the Gingerbread boat. Entry into the ginger factory is free but rides are an extra cost. There are lovely gardens to explore and some quaint little shops. There are a couple of cafe's on site. And of course, the ginger shop where you can stock up on all your favourite ginger products before you leave!

I had the best day in Buderim - I went on the factory tour, then the tasting, then had my photo taken with the ginger man fibreglass statue (he's a cutie), then into the shoppe to but gorgeous ginger treats. I came away with at least 6 jars of spreads, cordial and over 7kg of ginger (we love ginger) and a host of recipes from the shoppe's staff who were lovely, attentive and actually thanked me for shopping with them. They really have customer service nailed - they are fun and caring and I'm hoping to back on my next big trip.

The day we came here we also had taken one of the Ginger Factory's ginger tasting sessions so we were fully ready to buy some ginger products! What a range! Ginger chocolates as well as drinks were some of the things you could purchase. Staff were helpful and the store was big enough not to feel uncomfortable browsing if you were the only one in there.

Fabulous tourist experience. Staff were all fabulously friendly and helpful, particularly with kids. Went on the trainride which the kids loved. When we got off, just before closing time, the ride on digger was being packed up but the lady reinstated it when she heard my son say he would like to go on it. Excellent range of ginger products too.

Love taking the kids out here. It is always exciting for them to see how many foods and products can be made from one.
