Basic eggs on sourdough.
Poached eggs cooked OK but One more hard boiled.
Sourdough toast thin slice but tasty.
Minimal butter as spread.
Added mushrooms. Tasty but not worth $5. 3 small halves of mushroom.
Nice setting and able to talk.
Staff fine but not friendly

Had breakfast here this morning. I ordered the BLAT and my partner ordered scrambled eggs on toast. The food was incredible, the coffee is beautiful and the place looks awesome. Then there's the staff... Now I understand this place is trying to be hip and trendy with all the staff sporting various piercings, man-bun type haircuts and odd tattoos BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SMILE!!. I think we managed to muster up maybe 3-4 words in total from any of the 3 staff we spoke to. My advice, go next door to Bocconcini!

My wife and I had an excellent breakfast at Larder - its a quirky sort of place but in a cosy way.

Coffee was excellent and the muesli I had very tasty.

We were pretty much the first ones in there so no struggle to find a seat and the food was quick. What was disappointing was the staff - fairly indifferent to our business. They were a little busy so that might explain it but we left with the feeling they couldnt care less.

Cost-wise, nothing is cheap in Daylesford. Its an expensive town to eat & drink in, and Larder is no exception.

A shame given a very nice meal.

Second time I visited Daylesford, My brother and I decided to go for a quick breakfast.
It turned out - it was not a quick breakfast that we had on that day, because the food that we ordered took a long time to arrive on our table (more than 30 mins). However, the food was delicious - fresh and tasty, and the coffee was great!

The gourmet larder not only has brilliant food & coffee, but a large deli selection of local cheeses to choose from!

Always lovely to take a little bit of Daylesford home with you!
