The best Thai food in Newcastle without a doubt, I have now also gotten all the ladies at my work obsessed with The Grain Thai. Beautiful food, staff and atmosphere and great lunch time specials for those office lunches

Best Thai food in Newcastle. Very authentic. I have been to Thailand and tasted their food, and it is spot on at this restaurant.

Such lovely Thai foo! This shop is a tiny bit hidden by being on the top floor, but once you know its there, you'll never forget! Such lovely Thai food, (Green curry is my favourite). Often go there when we are in Newcastle.

I haven't eaten AT this restaurant, but have ordered take away quite a few times. If you order over $40 worth of food, they deliver for free! The Pad Thai is delicious as well as the Massaman Curry. The food is absolutely lovely, each different dish I've tasted has been great. Generally it takes about an hour from ordering to be delivered to the door. Highly recommend, if I get the chance I will definitely dine in.

I didn't really like my experience at this restaurant. Other friends had chosen it. I must admit that Thai is not my favourite food however they did have a large menu so I was hopeful. Before ordering I did ask how hot my chosen meal would be as I'm not great with spicy food. I couldn't eat it as it was crazy spicy. Even my Thai lover friends found it to be incredibly hot. The place itself was noisy and hot. It was so packed you could hardly move around the tables.

I really really like the food here (especially the duck pad see ew) but one experience put us off a bit- I was drinking the orange juice and there was actually a cockroach in it frozen inside the ice cube. I showed one of the staff and he just laughed and gave me another drink... not even an apology and we still had to pay for the meal!! However despite that I have still come back a few times, since the food is nice.

Some of the best Thai food in Newcastle, the service can sometimes be a little slow and inconsistent but the food is always good.

The Grain was once Newcastle's best Thai restaurant. Unfortunately it is now the worst. The quality of the food is poor and the service less than average. Dont waste your money coming here.
