My little Freya goes to The Hound Hutt for daycare twice a week and she loves it. She can't wait to get in the door and starts to get excited as soon as we turn into the street. When we get home she is happy and just wants to have her dinner and go to sleep - no more barking at every passing shadow along the street! She gets a hydrobath and blowdry every couple of weeks and she always come home clean, fresh and shiny. Thanks Ladies

I have been a client of The Hound Hutt since its opening early this year-February 2012. My very precious little dog Godfree attends Day Care and grooming regularly. The staff-Suzi, Lara and Suzanne are amazing. The care and loving given to my dog is wonderful. What they do is truly their passion-not 'just a business' or a 'job'. When I drop Godfree off in the morning I know he is going to have an awesome day playing with other dogs. He always comes home incredibly happy-his tail doesn't stop wagging. Following his grooms he 'struts' out of the Hutt showing off the new very handsome little 'man' that he is. The Hound Hutt is a very bright, colourful, fun and safe place for my dog. I love the rest times factored into each Day Care day-it is very cute and I imagine necessary for the dogs following a morning of play and before the afternoon play starts. I trust Suzi, Lara and Suzanne impeccably whilst Godfree is in their care and thank them for everything they do to make Godfree's day special.

Thank you aunty Lara and aunty Suzi for a wonderful experience at THE HOUND HUTT. My dog Razzi had a great time at his groom and daycare day. He is a puppy and hasn't had a lot of experience with grooming and aunty Lara was fantastic with him and the haircut she gave him is perfect. She was so kind and caring to him and this showed through all the kisses he gave her. When I picked him up aunty Lara even taught me things about brushing him so I can keep his coat healthy and make the best of his new hairstyle. I even bought products they recommended for his coat and they work a treat. After his groom I decided to give him a special day out and give him a taste of doggy daycare with aunty Suzi. Well he had a fantastic play day and came home so tired and happy that I could go out and not worry about leaving him. He even was tired the next day. I got to see his friends that he played with and they are a wonderful group of dogs well selected and happy to play together. Aunty Suzi was wonderful with the dogs and I can't believe I didn't do this before. it was great to have him just around small dogs so he could socialise with his own size. When I picked him aunty Suzi had all these pictures of him playing with his friends, a report card and a picture magnet of Razzi for my fridge. I took them to work to show around and they are a hit. this was an unexpected surprise. Thank you ladies and THE HOUND HUTT ... I am so glad I found you and we will definitely be back!!

My dog is an 8 year old Lhasa Apso, she has had many haircuts in her life and this is hands down the worst she has ever had. Her fur was about 6cm long, it had started to get matted on her chest and under her stomach because I had had trouble brushing it. I have taken her to other groomers like this before and have never had a problem. My dog was taken to The Hound Hutt, a price of $60 was advised over the phone and then confirmed when she was dropped off. When she was picked up, the staff said it would be $100 because of the matting. I was never told about the extra charges and the dog was there with me when they confirmed $60. To cut the story short, after a staff being quite rude about the situation, they charged $80 because it was the first time my dog had been there. As for the actual haircut, it is terrible! The fur on her back and top of her legs has been left at a length of 2cm like I asked, however, because of the matting the fur on her tummy and chest was shaved quite short. I completely understand the need to do this but the difference in length hasn't even been blended, it looks like her haircut isn't finished. If it was not possible to achieve a decent looking haircut with the longer fur on top and shaved underneath, I would have appreciated a suggestion to shave the lot or another solution. The haircut that the dog has been given is not at all acceptable. I'm not the expert - I trust the groomer to be the expert, do a good job and tell me if what I have asked for is not possible. I'll have to wait for her fur to grow back so I can take her to my usual groomer to fix it up.
