This is the best place to get pasta in Newtown. The food is always fresh, fast and delicious. Although it can get a little expensive, it is well worth the money.

The pasta is so delicious and serving sizes are decent but a little pricey. For a family 2 adults and 3 kids, you’re looking at $100 for takeaway pasta. Still 5 stars, so tasty and fresh.
Staff are lovely!

PRIMAVERA is heavenly, full of taste and perfect serving size. Staff were upbeat and attentive and the location on the main road made for easy access. Filling and satisfying meal.

This is what I would call overpriced, average Italian food. The sauces are heavy, filled with substandard ingredients that overwhelm the taste, and the flavours that should burst from the sauces simply do not. The prices are too high for what you get, and you could do a better job at home for about $5 using a jar.
I left feeling heavy and bloated.
The service is pretty impersonal, and there is too much emphasis on up-selling and getting you to pay your bill for my liking.
Note the comments from the owner below.
I don't know the owner of this or any of the other Italian places I've reviewed; of which there are many. I love Italian food immensely, some people do it well, some do not. This one just doesn't get my vote.

Nice cosy place to have Italian food in Newtown. This place seems to be always busy as they have great food in cheap price. The sitting might feel little cram but I liked their open kitchen. It was quick and easy for us the other day. I loved my penne while my hubby loved his linguine chicken.

One of the nicer and tastier pasta place's I've tried in Sydney, whilst the place isn't that big, it's cosy and in the heart of Newtown. Here you can customise your pasta and choose your sauce, also upsize the bowl or have your choice of pasta with a piece of chicken. Great food, fresh pasta made on site and you can watch whilst your meal is prepared before your eyes as they have an open kitchen.A little on the pricey side, but the portions are generous. It does get quite busy but it has a great atmosophere and is family friendly. I do quite enjoy the amtriciana and the bosciola, but the sicilian with king prawn, rocket, garlic and white wine and oil is amazing!

There are also non pasta items on the menu such as chicken schnitzel, risotto and veal. The turnover is quick, whilst seating is very limited though. So best avoid this place during peak times like Fri/ Sat nights but overall great flavours and Authentic pasta dishes on offer!

it's just some pasta and sauce, can do a bit better. the waitress was so rude that time. talking with a rude tone.I had a miserable dinner with my family. The servings were rather small and not enough either of us. Was expensive and the 4 of us were squashed onto a table at the back of the restaurant. Had to ask 3 times to get the water....and were nearly finished our meal by the time it finally arrived.
So good luck guys if you are planning to go.

I first visited this place with a friend and their family. It's quite a small restaurant and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are constantly smiling, friendly and flirty. The food is delicious and cheap. We got the wrong dish and they gave us it for free and made the one we ordered.
It can get crowded being such a popular place but it's worth waiting a little while and soaking in the lovely warm atmosphere. Oh! Also, I'm pretty sure the staff are all men quite comfortable with their sexualities to give the patrons a flirty entertainment which is a refreshing change to the typical toxic masculinity.

Very nice food but extremely busy when I went! I would recommend take away instead of eating in. But I will return just based on the tasty food; the prawn dish I got was fabulous!

This is an excellent, very modern Italian eatery. I absolutely adore The Italian Bowl. There's lots of pastas to choose from - the seafood marinara is one of my favourites - all at value for money prices. A real plus is the kids menu, which includes spag bol, napoletana or chicken and chips for $6. A wonderful dining experience which caters for everyone. Outstanding food and service to match.

The food is cheap, but wonderful. It is made fresh in front of you while you wait. Room to be seated, or they also do take away. A range of pastas, veal, chicken, risotto and salads. The tiramisu is AMAZING!!!

love it here! It's nothing fancy, it's the kind of place you pay before you order and collect your own cutlery and find your own table but I like it like that! Instead of wasting money on staff and furnishings, this place invests all their energy in making damn good pasta! Very hearty with good serving sizes! A good place to drop by first before catching a movie or going on a bender! It's open pretty late too!

The best Italian food Newtown has to offer. The restaurant always fills up really quick so it might be difficult to find a table sometimes. Service is sometimes a bit rushed in the front but the waiter/waitresses are always nice.
