I am happy with the coffee here it is delicious. My friend ordered the Mac n Cheese and I tried it. It was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient

Have dined at The Merrywell twice now, once upstairs and once downstairs.
Their milkshakes are to die for. I've tried the mushroom papardelle and it was divine.
Unfortunately their menu is not up to date with what is on their website, so the dessert I really wanted was not available. The waiter told me sheepishly that it hadn't been updated for around 12 months and that it probably needed doing.
Service is pretty impeccable from the wait staff, although it can take some time for the meals to arrive, particularly on Saturday night.
The fireballs at Crown went off right outside our table which was a highlight.
Will be returning for sure.

I went to Merrywell downstairs. I thought it was ok food and perhaps I am a bit spoilt these days with so much good food in Melbourne especially burger places. I had a mexican cobb salad and added a fried chicken for it. It cost $21 for chopped ice berg lettuce, some beans, small amount of corn. And oddly there was tomato, cucumber and feta too?! I just was not impressed and probably should have stuck to a burger. The Merrywell burger looked good and we thought it tasted good but will not be running back in a hurry.

We came here in September while visiting Melbourne. Excellent place to eat. You get value. Great food. The burger are so yummy and filling. The staff are so friendly. Really nice. They gave my daughter a title gift for her birthday and made her a special drink that they didn't have on the menu.
Will be going back here next time in melbourne.

I love The Merrywell as it is such a good place to go to before heading out on the town. They do great sangria jugs that have a good amount of alcohol in them and aren't overpriced. Downstairs they do burgers and chips which are very good-served diner style in a basket. One thing I really enjoyed were the ice cream sodas that can have vodka put in them. They taste great and go down well with the burgers. Upstairs they have a different menu and more music.

One of the best burgers you can find in Melbourne. Throw in the side dishes, the rootbeer floats, the lobster rolls, and the fancy upstairs menu, and you've got a great place to hit for dinner during a night out. The prices are a little on the high side, but I guess you get what you pay for!

Place has nice decor and atmosphere. Upon greeting the lady at the front desk was rude and not friendly. The waiters did not know their menu and were not sure what were in dishes so improvement is needed on this. The meals were nice and there was a variety of nibbles to full meals. Prices were reasonable. I would go back for pre dinner drinks but not for a meal as there are better places within Crown.

This place is magnificent. They have upstairs and downstairs dining and bar area. Great ambience - atmosphere. It is such a great place to have a birthday dinner or farewell party .. any occasion actually. They have outdoor area too with heater, AWESOME!

Me and my girlfriends decided to have pre dinner drinks at The Merrywell and it was a great decision ever.. they have variety of wine list (by gls or bottle), cocktail list,spirit list and snacks.. with reasonable price. we had Chardonnay and French fries (with gravy and melted cheese) - is very tasty. Recommended!

The service was good, table service and the food and drinks arrived in reasonable time too. Would go back again for sure!
