Cafe is located in one of the old classrooms behind the Lambing Flat Museum. Children are very welcome and have a safe area in the courtyard to stretch if you are travelling, draw on the blackboard or play quoits or hopscotch while parents look on and enjoy espresso coffees and our homemade cakes, pies and other breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon treats. Takeaway coffees, chai lattes and hot chocolates are also popular with those travelling through Young needing a quick bathroom stop.
Spend a relaxing morning reading the paper and have us treat you to a homecooked breakfast or meet friends for lunch over the weekend - BYO alcohol and we can provided sparkling apple juices and soft drinks and bright pink creaming soda spiders to impress and entertain the young at heart.
Come try our homemade chicken and leek pie - so popular with our customers during winter, that we've made it a permanent option on our menu!
We are not just a cafe offering delicious homemade goodies though; we also sell local made jams, pickles and chocolate treats for kids in the cafe. If you need an interesting piece of French Taratata jewellery, a gift tin of Wedgwood tea or a gorgeous Limoges teacup and saucer for a birthday gift, we can supply these too.
But best of all we are open all weekend and on Monday public holidays too.
