I have been to the brewery many tines over the years, and most recently I went there for lunch on a Sunday. I recommend Sunday lunch time and afternoons as the best time to go here as they usually have entertainment at those times. We watched a singer who was also playing the guitar in the outdoor area overlooking the water which is very picturesque on a sunny day. There was a relaxed friendly vibe and the performer had a nice voice and played a mix of mostly easy listening style cover songs. Drink prices here are about average, however some are a bit pricey, depending on what you order. There is a better selection of brands of wines and beers here than many other bars in the area. I ordered a light lunch of some bruschetta style breads and herb bread to share which were quite tasty and fresh. I didn't have to wait too long for my order either which was good considering it was pretty busy. Overall this place is a pretty good location but the food itself is ok but isn't amazing.

Nice meal, but lacked finesse. The balsamic glaze on my vegie & polenta stack was a nice touch but as it went to the edges of the plate it ended up being a sticky annoyance more than anything. The meal itself was too small, although this seems common in Newcastle with vegetarian meals. Without the protein we need more volume! ;-)
Was nice to sit out on the wharf on a sunny Sunday, although the rusty shelter leaves little to be desired. A facelift would do wonders! ;) also a designated smoking area would be good.

Certainly an excellent venue for live bands. Nice and spacious with great vies whilst dancing and drinking to great bands. I found the drinks to be reasonably priced and the service pretty good too. Will definately be back.

Great spot on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon.
They have a band out on the harbour, while you sit back with family or friends with a drink or bite to eat. Kids are also welcome outside.
They have a great menu with alot of the foods perfect for sharing. Food has always been delicious whenever I go there. Can't wait to go back.

This is my favourite place for a night out in Newcastle! Drinks are reasonably priced and there is always great music on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights to dance to! It does get pretty busy but it's a great atmosphere and it's at a great location! I love coming here for drinks and dancing on a night out in Newcastle!

great place to go in Newcastle, so nice to sit on the harbour in summer and enjoy the best Blue Tongue on tap that I've had. You often see many families sitting there as well - mum and dad having a quiet drink and fishing with their kids. meals are great - either for a quick chicken burger or a meal with friends. Definately one of my favourite places and memories of Newcastle

Great place to go in summer. Great live bands, on the water. Dinner is always well cooked and plenty of it. Friday and Saturday nights can sometimes get a little rowdy but generally well controlled. New Years Eve here usually has a great band and a fantastic atmosphere.

Great place to go out in Newcastle. Love the verandah up the top, you can go outside and cool off after dancing overlooking the water. Pretty noisy on a Sunday afternoon if you're just going down there for lunch, the band kicks off and you can't hear much after that! Good food though and great atmosphere.
